Completely agree. So many issues during Beta were ignored because “they’re all fixed in SU4”, yet SU4 has arrived and I have multiple issues with my Just Flight and Black Square modules. For example I can get the RJ to spawn, eventually, but orange panels everywhere, EFB facing the floor, yokes hard turned to port - plane and controls completely unresponsive.
The worry bead now is nothing gets fixed quickly on Xbox.
Update! I have just finished 2 hours of flying in the A321LR. I love the game but wow, ATC is woefully bad. Utterly shocking consider how much effort has been put into the flight model, efb, streaming and career.
Best approach is to set low expectations for ATC and use the flight plan as your frame of reference.
Sure 2020 atc wasn’t perfect but this one is bad.
Check out VATSIM and / or PilotEdge. I use both and find them very fun.
VATSIM looks interesting. However I will just fly without ATC as I have never relied on to assign me departure or approach. I set these as part of my flight plan. The EFB in 2024 is very useful and compensate for the poor ATC implementations, especially in planes that don’t have a gps map.
There’s always the option of trying BeyondATC or Say Intentions. I have BeyondATC and although not perfect and still lacking VFR ATC (which is coming in future updates), it is fun to use on planned IFR flights. AI voice interactions are very realistic and there’s much less stress using it compared to talking to live controllers on VATSIM.

Looking at the state of the bug section, it’s definitely fixed, yep! 
I might buy beyond ATC. The fixed pricing at 29 or 59 dollars is appealing. I miss the female atc voice of 2020. The 2024 doesn’t sound appealing. I also find my avatar thumbnail in the atc feed to be unnecessary and distracting.
To be fair MSFS 2020 still has bugs that haven’t been fixed 5 years later. MSFS 2024 with SU4 is vastly improved compared to launch, that doesn’t mean it’s bug free, but a lot has been fixed.

Unfortunately, not everyone is having the same great experience. In the places I can load a flight and complete is, it’s unbeatable. However, for some unknown reason I have yet to discover, I cannot load a flight at most airports in Europe, particularly in England. So, I’m not going to uninstall FS2020…..and probably won’t anyway. I still enjoy flying in FS2020.
i totally understand, luckily for me that’s not happening in my case, maybe because i run very few, if any, addons, almost vanilla sim
Same here. I fly mainly 3 aircraft, all GA. Cessna 172, Cessna Corvalis, and the G36 Bonanza. I don’t fly anything else for the most part. I do run Navigraph, but I’ve always done that and before SU2, all was find. Since SU2, rarely has anything worked as it should.
Because it’ll take Asobo a decade to catch up with the likes of BATC and they’ve understandably given up doing more than the bare minimum.
Does anyone know what Ive got turned on that’s responsible for these lines please? Also where do i turn it off
