FS2024 is now fixed. Buy it! Bye bye FS2020

That isn’t quite right. Working Title has the contract to improve ATC. They started the project a few months back, but its going to be a phased approach for release, and it will likely take a while to implement.

Thanks. Im sure that is it, the key binding that keeps turning it back on. Much appreciated

I’m still enjoying the game. Career mode is well thought out. You can skip certain parts of the flights, if you crash before landing it rewinds, you can also choose different paths depending on the type of aircraft’s that you prefer flying.

I’m sure I will encounter some bugs. But after playing 2020 since 2019 I was due a change. The new flight model is sooooo good and makes flying feel more fun, realistic and predictable. Less yo yo yo when landing small planes.

I don’t know but people will say it’s good then they show me a YouTube video capture from their system and it’s a stuttery mess… sometimes I wonder if people’s eyes are broken lol.

Tbh it still stutters compared to 2020 for me. I’ll probably wait for SU5.

Butter smooth on my end. I stopped playing MSFS 2020 ages ago.

“FS2024 is now fixed. Buy it!”

Will MSFS 24 now run fine on a medium level PC system (5 years old) like MSFS 20 does (graphics/performance set to medium – no use of ATC, 1440p (2560×1440), 60 FPS, no POI, all bells and whistles options off, only simple uncluttered flying GA aircraft from small fields)?

The best way to test is to buy 1 month of gamepass. If the game runs poorly, uninstall and request a gamepass refund. That’s what I did 6 months ago.

Today 2024 uses less vram, ram and cpu than 2020 despite me having an upper mid range pc and playing at 4k TAA high-end graphic settings.

It’s going in the right direction, but it’s far from fixed

@AmmarMalhas1959 Check out FlightLog Analyzer, it has a feature to protect against those flights that FS2024 mistakenly loses from the logbook

good point… hard to say

i can tell you that it needs industrial amounts of vram
8gb probably won’t cut it
if you can manage a 16gb gpu, you will probably be in business

it still stutters on short final, but it is getting better

And post back with your findings. In several areas, your PC is actually better than the consoles this was designed to run on. You may have to turn down the settings in several areas though, things like traffic, which may bottleneck the CPU which is going to be a limiting factor there.

Yes, all those things like traffic and realtime weather are turned off in my 2020. I fly SEL planes off non controlled fields. I have 2020 set to throttle at 60 fps, which it easily does. I never get stutters, even though I am using SkyDolly to create videos. Actually, as I think about it, I am quite happy with 2020. Not sure I want to possibly shoot myself in the foot by going to 2024. There’s nothing in it that I want to use. Thanks for the tips on doing a low investment test. If I do so will provide feedback there.

That’s the beauty of gamepass. Try before you buy! Zero risk. Instant refund from MS if the game doesn’t meet your expectations.

Maybe will not run like 100 fps ,not even 50 fps , more like 30 fps ….and lower graphics 1080 p , you need to buy better faster internet , better ram 32 gb , better graphics GPU , 8 core or 10 core CPU , better motherboard just buy new computer …. and now if you want to play on win 11 you cant with 5 y. old PC again you have to buy new PC and your choices are win 10 , linux , and you will be fine for msfs 24 ! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ll stick with 2020 and be happy for free!

I bought 24 PD pre-release, played it for about a week and went back to 2020, occasionally would put it back on for a few days here and there. Think I’m up to 1.3TB on 2020-quite a few paid addons that will transfer but mostly freeware, and I haven’t played it a few months.

4080s/7800X3d/64GB, should be ‘arite. I think it’s actually time to wipe it clean and put 2024 back on… Still hate the UI but need to embrace it and learn it rather than just going back to the same old over and over again. I’ve been in this perpetual ‘waiting’ state for 2024 and was relegating myself to just popping into 2020 and doing the absolute most ‘familiar’ things and it was getting stale.

I am one of those who is still on MSFS2020 and Xbox X series. I did try game pass earlier last year but then 2024 was very broken.Kept myself abreast with the updates as well as comments from simmers. Keen to take the plunge but want to be sure that it will be atleast at 80% efficiency. Please do let us know your experience on the Xbox. Secondly how efficient is the transitioning of Add-Ons bought through MSFS 2020 marketplace.
