More people have problems starting Couatl? It just won’t start today? restarted and updated everyting but gsx wont work…
Getting annoyed paying like 30 euro’s for this, because it is still with a lot of issues and their forum is unreachable

I still dont know the proper way to keep this program updated and how to know if it is.
That’s after trying to understand all the confusing terminology and messages from the developer on the topic. He seems to double down on this confusing mess of files, filestructures and update servers.
I’m also having issues with the installer. I don’t know why but even the manual installer doesn’t seem to work either. I can’t get GSX to display on the toolbar despite ‘installing’ and I’m stuck with the continuous update loop. Any help is appreciated.
I reinstalled it and now it sort of works. Did you load couatl? I’m updating every day 1 time. There are issues with the program with the update button always stays on like there is a new update.

They have to get on there knees to enter the Plane.
I have been trying all the suggested fixes i have seen in their forums and noting seems to work for me and script engine is not starting. Same with the others i my memembership to heir forums has not been accepted. Maybe someone here has the same error as mine as it seems to be looking for a “world of jetways” trail folder.

I’m doing the live update again which takes almost a day to complete. If that folder isnt loaded then will manually create the folder myself and see it that would work.
I have no clue how to update it as well. I just run the live update before I get into MSFS. I tend to check for updates on all applicable software/mods before I log into the sim and/or when I first start my PC for the day. It only takes a minute or two. It would be nice to know if/when an actual update is truly needed.
ok created the folders manually and the log does not anymore show the invalid handle value now the script engine doesnt work and it stuck on this per the log.

Not sure but the installer did not have an option to choose your sim directory so do i install it on my steam library where msfs is installed? This issue is ridiculous!
Is that Z: drive listed in the logs a NTFS file system or a FAT32 external drive? Looks a bit like this issue - Can't RELINK - GSX Pro and External USB drives
Drive D is an SSD in NTFS where i have my steam library installed. Dive Z is an HDD also in NTFS where i have put the community folder and symbolically linked with the community folder on Drive D.
right now unistalling it again and installing it on the same directory where my msfs is installed
My Live Update just keeps crashing lol
EDIT: I just realized there is a “trial” mode for a few airports (plus it works at the FSDT airports I own as well) so I installed it and honestly there were minor glitches but in general it worked quite well. I plan on purchasing a license now as it’s pretty impressive the scope of what they are doing and I assume it will only get better.
I still dont understand how to use gsx pro with 3rd party airports. if anyone would be so kind and explain? I excluded 3rd party airports via FSDT installer but still get double spawn points and jetways on them. and how exactly do you use these gsx profiles from flightsim.to ? do airports still have to be excluded or not if using them? am very confused with this piece of software.
Where do I find the folder %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS?
%APPDATA% is a Windows file system short-hand that will always point to a specific folder on the user’s computer. The full file path is usually something like C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming.
Rather than remember all that, just type WIN+R on your computer to bring up the Run dialog, and type %APPDATA% in the box. It will open a file explorer window to the correct directory. \Virtuali is a folder within that folder.
Thank you so much
The simplest thing that works is that for all your 3rd party scenery airports you own (e.g. not the Asobo supplied ones) make sure they are excluded in the FSDT Installer config options. The user interface is a bit weird, but essentially what you are doing is listing all the ICAO airport codes you do not want GSX to replace Jetways with. GSX only really replaces the stock Asobo jetway and not 3rd party ones (usually). Once you have the exclude list on the right looking good you have to hit ‘Apply’ to save that.
If you Live update GSX you have to do this exclusion list again (a bug I imagine). If you see ‘double dots’ on an airport it is because the ‘Exclude’ list is not saved or or get blatted by an update.
For profiles from flightsim.to you just copy the text .ini file into the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS
directory and GSX will pick it up and use it. Sometimes on flightsim.to the author will provide instructions on how to check that the .ini file is correct, as sometimes you have to edit the top line or so to make sure it is pointing to our scenery correctly. If they don’t work or aren’t being picked up then that’s usually he issue.
Hope that helps.
I finally got it dialed in this afternoon. Seems like it will take regular tweaking, but it’s ■■■■ good when it’s running correctly. Just landed at my home airport(KAUS) and was greeted by all of the proper branding on stairs, vehicles, jetways, etc. Everything worked as it should.
That was actually fixed in today’s update. If you use the FSDT Installer to update rather than the simple Live Updater, there’s now a place to click on Release Notes. This fix was listed today and after I updated, when I searched the jetways exclusion list, they remained properly excluded for the first time!
