FSLTL - FS Live Traffic Liveries is live!

It might have been asked before. But have you had the problem traffic injected not to appear on the FBW A320 TCAS? Even clearly in front of me at almost the same altitude and using ‘ALL’ setting on TCAS. Am I doing something wrong? I must also add that I’m runnig the Experimental version of FBW and with the LIVE MSFS traffic it works fine.

No, you didn’t. I didn’t know if the close traffic is displayed in TCAS. It is displayed in Garmin and apparently by TCAS in other airliners - and Pilot2ATC gives a warning of close-in traffic - but MSFS ATC does not. So I don’t know what traffic is registered by the different systems…

The application is great. However i see a lot of parked airplanes, some of them moving on the ground for take off, about 30 minutes delayed from flightradar but hey it is live or delayed live. However, no landing at all. See planes on the sky but none seem to land. Is that an known issue?

The interesting thing is that even MSFS ATC will warn you with traffic alert but the TCAS doesn’t show anything.

I think the MSFS ATC will only warn you from traffic registered by the AI MSFS logic - like the FSLTL injected traffic with flight plans but doesn’t give you a close traffic warning for GA traffic - Pilot2ATC does. That the TCAS doesn’t display the traffic (even the traffic that will be registered by MSFS ATC) shows me that the problem will be found in the TCAS system.

In ELT yes - because Landing can only be programmed if you use a flight plan from Start to the Destination and will be controlled by MSFS AI logical. In ELT the planes get only a waypoint (all 10 seconds on ground and all 30 seconds in the air) to taxi to or fly to this next waypoint. That the taxiing on the ground does not work and will be teleported all 10 seconds is based on the fact that the Asobo waypoint function on the ground does not work. So we had to teleport the planes. The landings in ELT works only with an approximation to the landing point and 30 seconds after FR24 told the grounding the planes will be teleported to the original place on the ground. That’s the reason why you don’t see smooth landings in ELT. The start procedure is different. The planes will be teleported to the last place on ground - when the FR24 told that the plane has took off the grounding of the plane in the ELT will set to false and the waypoint function in the air will start to work. So the plane take off and will fly the original route based on the waypoints that tit get’s all 30 seconds…

ah, so maybe @TOGAV1Rotate needs to make sure that the FSLTL injector has a flightplandatabase.com API key, to get full flightplans for the flights that FSLTL injects into MSFS?

Yes, correct!

Guys @Mauflo12961 and @HawkMoth9135, let me clarify. The injector works fine, the MSFS ATC recognizes and controls the injected aircraft correctly. The API key is generated and used as should. The full flightplans are loaded from the database. The issue is with the FBW TCAS.

Edit: This also happens with G3000 in Cessna Longitude as I can see now.

Perhaps a question on an appropriate FBW A320 thread might be a good idea then?

Thanks a lot - that clears things up!

Why landing are not working for me. I put newark airport for example. A lot of united on the gate, ground and taking off but no landing at all. How long does it takes to see landing?

must be some settings. i have same. can see how ac go around and then above glide just disappears. i use 66/33/5 200 and api code… right now i think it is
p.s. and 30s timeout blocked ac. blanked textures option - disabled. now i guess all the settings

I saw 4 land at KLAX over a period of 1.5 hours. Of course there should have been more. Some things got broken with the SU11 beta and are known issues.

If you are not using the beta then I don’t know.

I’m guessing that as a maximum range of 200km can be selected for the inclusion of flights, from flightradar24, along with a maximum number of flights and MSFS not allowing nearby flights to be spawned in the air, that inbound aircraft is most likely to miss out on selection. That will be especially the case at a busy airport, where the max number of flights might be easily arrived at by parked/outgoing aircraft and anything in the air, within the maximum range specified.

Maybe FBW will somehow tweak the selection to split the maximum number of selected flights between those on the ground, those in the air close by and those that are incoming from a bit of a distance away?

Yes, I think landing is broke in SU11 so, it is a known issue, I guess.

TCAS in the Working Title CJ4 also does not show AI traffic.

I tried this out last night. Though at first i had problems with not being able to load into any 3rd party add on planes such as the B 737 and the FBW A320. I spent at least 7 hours total time googling for a resolution and trying trouble shooting steps of all kinds. I finally found the culprit in one of the MSFS forum posts where someone else had the same loading into flight issues . Apparently when I downloaded FSLTL, even though I upgraded to the latest FBW installer, you have to also delete the old FBW installer too! That’s the first time I’ve seen where updating anything also requires deleting the precvious version. It would be akin to updating to the latest Nividia driver and also having to delete the old Nividia driver afterwards in order for the sim to work. Crazy crazy stuff that wasted 7 hours of my time.

That being said, when I started the injector, it starts by only injected parked aircraft and aircraft pushing back from the gates and taxiing planes . I left the injector running 30 minutes and came back to check on it and watched it for 5-10 minutes more and never saw any plane takeoff or land from DFW international. All I saw was parked planes , planes pushing back, and planes taxiing around, Often 6-7 planes stacked up in a line back to back which is as unrealistic as the lack of takeoffs and landings. And I saw planes positioned at the end of the runways as if waiting to takeoff but no takeoffs ever happen.

I’ve also been experiencing many times that when using the injector, my rudder and flight controls won’t work. They were working when I spawned into the game, but when I start the injector, they stop working. Without the injector part, this is a rare event when loading into a flight. And one of those times my breaks and parking break didn’t even work either. This is happening more than 50% of the time and I can’t figure out why. (10/18/22 UPDATE- I think this lack of controls may have been due to two other settings unrelated to FSLTL so disregard)

I did follow all advice in fuzzy’s video set live traffic in msfs to off and for fsltl settings set IFR to 40 and VFR to 5, and set static/parked to 1 , left the other few settings to default.

I plan to go back to using msfs live traffic along with the FSLTL traffic data base folder for now till these issues get cleared up in upcoming updates. Given this is a lot of work for the team creating this and one can only imagine the complexity involved , I’m not complaining and grateful this project is being done for us at no cost. I can be patient and understanding for that reason.

You’re right. It sounds strange, but it is so.

I’ve just spawned at KLAX, in a FlyInside Bell 47G, to make the sightseeing more easy, and there were loads of aircraft parked up, taxiing around and taking off, with just landings apparently being in short supply.

It was fun however, trying to keep pace with a B747, which was taking off. Let’s say i came in an honourable second place. :stuck_out_tongue:
