FSLTL - FS Live Traffic Liveries is live!

I found a thread. Good news: it’s “bug-logged”.

Voted. Thanks for finding that.

ETA: I’m sure this number will climb once SU11 is official. Hopefully an easy fix!

Not always because sometimes the fly so far away in the wrong direction they get removed due to going out of range. If they do come back they then often have the altitude bug and arrive at the airport at say 20k ft before circling for every more.

Ah ok. That sounds nasty. I do hope you make some inroads with Asobo with a fix as FSLTL injector is nice & easy to use, does what it says on the lid & seems like the way to go tbh. I will be keeping a close eye on things. I’m actually not looking forward to SU11. The loss of injected AI is just too regressive a step for a sim update IMO. No amount of new free stuff can disguise the disappointment of that. Thanks for all the hard work of your team to get FSLTL to this stage though. One of the best add ons since launch I think.

I know it’s not FSLTL related but is there a way to reduce the density of the real-time traffic ? I just want to test how real-time traffic in SU11 Beta but there is no empty gate at all at EGLL with real-time traffic only.

Zero the parked aircraft/ground setting.

So I decided to try live traffic with FSLTL and AIG planes installed but no injector.

Lots of real airlines doing their thing, but even with parked aircraft set to zero, a lot of 737s and A320s from small European airlines parked at US airports.

So with the SU11 issues, looks like it’s “use FSLTL inejector or AIG if you want the ground to feel accurately populated” or “use real time traffic if you want somewhat more realistic approaches/departures.” (Even with live traffic, still had A320s and Canadairs flying out at 1000 feet and not climbing at times.)

You can also run the FSLTL injector with just statics enabled while running Asobo live traffic. Will make the airport look better parked wise but overtime MSFS will start replacing the injected statics with its own live traffic as it needs parking spots.

If I’m understanding correctly… Are you saying after SU 11 FSLTL injector will not work any more?:frowning: is there a plan to make it comparable or something else that will be just like it? This has really changed the emersion for the sim immensely and I hope it doesn’t just go away.

We we be looking for workarounds but ultimately the impact is from changes Asobo have made to the AI. Ideally they provide a fix or suggestions. As yet they are just asking us questions but not providing answers.

But don’t expect the injector to work properly straight away when SU11 drops. Mainly you will have minimal landings. But if you actually spend time flying, rather than watching traffic, the impact will be smaller.

I am on the Beta of 11 and for me all work fine with FSLTL.
EDDF very busy also with taxi, takeoff and landing plans

You can still use it, but you won’t have landing aircraft due to the tweaks done with SU11 to AI traffic sending landing aircraft way off on the first alphabetical STAR (as opposed to the correct one or no STAR at all).
I’ll probaly still try using the FSLTL injector as well as default injector just to see what looks better. If the airports looks busy albeit with no arrivals I may still continue to use it until the issue is addressed (by Asobo).
The default in game injector will now spawn aircraft on the taxiways I believe as well as the gates? (Sorry I’m not on SU11, but we will soon find out). Which IMO is a regressive step and could stop me using it. So Potentially I’ll just have to live without arrivals/landings until a fix comes out (SU12? in 2023?)

I can confirm that. I’ve been using the Real-Time Traffic (sim’s injection) to test further AIGround and AIFlow, they appear on taxiways out of nowhere. I also noticed some bugs I don’t know if they were there before SU11. I was flying from LFMN to EGLL yesterday night, I was cruising over the alps, two AI, who wanted to land LFMN, were flying at 10000ft, and it was like miles away from LFMN, I’m not sure if they crashed into the mountains, plus they were flying in the incorrect direction, I mean not towards Nice but towards London, Paris.

Maybe they were just off to the start of the 1st alphabetical STAR at FL100?
Spawning in middle of taxiways, what were they thinking :man_facepalming:, maybe I won’t go there after all.
Just watched the new stuff video for todays release and it looks great, but I’m finding it hard to get excited with the traffic changes coming up that breaks my favourite add on. It’s like what they did with the Metar weather (in SU7). I just hope it doesn’t take the same amount of sim updates to fix AI traffic. They have only really got weather looking amazing again in SU10.

I personally like that traffic os spawning on taxiways, runways etc. When load8ng a flight.
Much more realisitc than every plane either being at a gate or enroute when the captain takes his seat.

Now, when starting a flight, the airport is alive instantly amd it does not take 20min or more before AI traffic normalises…

I guess that depends on what you are doing in the sim. I can see that logic though. I spend most of my time in the 737 these days so spawning at the gate and then setting it up 10mins and by the time I push back the magic is usually happening everywhere. I’ve not seen the arrival thing as most arrivals I do there is traffic holding short waiting to depart already and plenty of activity with the FSLTL injector running. What I’ll miss is having the live traffic on the same approach as me now, they will all be off to the first alphabetical STAR 50+ miles away instead.

Depends on the airport but it can take up to an hour before arrivals make it back to the airport. Sometimes they get removed before arrival.

I’m happy with just the liveries and AIGround and AIFlow to clean things up.

Since I mainly fly GA VFR I had also turned on the default ground AI anyway as GA airports are a bit lonely with the FSLTL injector only.

Has anyone using the injector experienced getting “altitude locked” when on the GS of an ILS approach?

This isn’t about the autopilot or VNAV not working. This is where the airplane is physically stuck at altitude while vertical speed and airspeed continue to function as normal. The end result is you are stuck permanently gliding, even with the engine off.

I’ve had it happen a few times as well as someone else reporting it. The commonality seems to be ILS + the injector.

What aircraft was this with? I had this happen in the 737 and listed it a while back on the 737 discussion thread. If it’s happening while using another aircraft this could be a FSLTL issue.

The reason I mention it is this is exactly what happened to me (in the 737) I could bank/turn no problem, and aircraft was moving forward, but was completely stuck at 3000ft on approach. Pitching up/down vertically would not change this error situation.

The ONLY THING I did prior to it going into this error state was ‘remove nearby traffic’ from the FSLTL in game tool as I was coming in to land (after an otherwise 2hr flawless flight). I’m wondering if zapping traffic has an impact on this. I was suspicious at the time, but thought it was perhaps a 737 thing. Now I’m thinking it could be FSLTL causing it. But would be good to know what aircraft you were using and whether you removed nearby aircraft with FSLTL.

Happened to me with the Bonanza G36. Another user reported it on a couple other GA aircraft. All very different aircraft with different systems.

I had not messed with clearing any traffic, but I may have looked at the panel.

Originally I thought it was AIFlow, but it happened without that on.

Now I just use liveries with AIGround/AIFlow and haven’t gotten stuck at altitude since.

Even though it wrecks a good landing approach, it’s kind of a fun bug.
