I hate to say it but the stock live traffic is looking very very busy at the moment.
With the AIG and FSTL models installed (and the generics set to 0 in the files) I am liking it so far.
The Ground and Air flow help - of course there is still a lot of go arounds, planes sitting on runways at the end of their landing.
Hoping the ATC situation gets sorted early next year.
Can someone explain this? Do you mean in the MSFS settings under traffic or somewhere else?
Hi
I only learnt about this elswhere. For some reason I kept seeing the generic liveries even though I have FSTL and AIG installed.
There is a file called "Aircraft"in the generic aircraft folders.
I opened the Aircraft files for the twin and quad engine airliners and changed the ICAO generic to 0
Do this at your own risk - it works for me - can’t speak for others. And to be clear I have AIG and FSTL models installed. I use live traffic and don’t use the FSTL injector at the moment.
It’s nice but I am not seeing any pushbacks and ATC doesn’t report pushbacks either. I also see invisible aircraft meaning only the lights or nameplates. Hopefully these things will be fixed when the final SU11 is released… especially the pushback problems.
No invisible planes for me. I hear pushbacks on the ground, and I’m behind aircraft departing and being held short or told to line-up and wait after departures and arrivals. Again, I have no add-ons for traffic other than ST. I believe a lot of those other symptoms are the result of add-ons.
I reverted back to SU10 because of this and the problems with FSLTL. When we get the Anniversary update if pushbacks are still not working using Live Traffic, I will remove all my mods from my community folder and see what happens.
Removing mods to troubleshoot what should be nominal stock sim functionality is always Step 1, even in Beta.
Been there done that several times. I didn’t think of trying it using Live Traffic because I was mainly focused on FSLTL at the time. Will certainly be looking forward to what happens with the final SU11.
Go into offline mode until Feb '23 ![]()
…either that or take one of my fairly regular DCS rotations? ;p
but in the meantime, i have a fairly long flight from Wellington to Canberra to do, as the latest leg in my Fenix A320 tour of the world’s capital cities. ![]()
Anyone notice that ATC is calling airliners by their registration number, not their airline/flight number?
Only problem is that the model/livery matching in SU11 Beta is atrocious
If the SU11 Beta actually is the final release, what combination looks to be the best option for AI traffic till Asobo actually fixes things? Live traffic, FSLTL, AIG models, with/without injector? Offline GA and Simple Traffic still in the mix too?
I’m getting a good mix with FSLTL, a full AIG install and AIFlow and AIGround
Am I correct in thinking that landings do happen in SU11, it’s just that they take lot more time because they’ve been sent off to the start of the first alphabetical STAR so they are being vectored miles away first, but they do eventually show up?
Question I am asking myself as well. Right now, on the beta, I am using MSFS Live traffic with AIG and FSLTL liveries, but leaves something to be desired except all but the largest airports. I do fly GA most of the time. May try offline traffic with the same liveries or go back to simple traffic with offline GA. I guess it depends where you fly most.
I am right back to FSLTL if they fix the arrival problem. It was a great mix of busy traffic even at small airports…
I know. I flew in to Boston yesterday from YYZ and the airport was absolutely packed with real-time online. Even with 0% ground aircraft.

Setting generic models to 0 in the .cfg files is an interesting option, as we’ll probably be stuck with either real-time online (with FSLTL models of course) or FSLTL injector (with very few landings) for a while. I’m still not sure which of the options to choose.
Yes, it’s annoying as it was working in SU10. Is there a bug thread where we can vote on this?
Someone open up one and we can get participants on it (and votes 'natch).
