Probably though haven’t seen it myself as yet.
Try at Philippines or Pannama
Using File Explorer search for aircraft.cfg in the FSLTL SimObjects folder sorted by Size descending, there are indeed 1,029 aircraft.cfg files. However, I found only 31 base models (with a single underscore in the folder name) among the 56 largest files with the [SERVICES} section that contain CATERING_TRUCK, = PUSHBACK =, etc. . The other 998 files do not have this section and point to one of the 31 base models for these settings. So even without a script, finding and changing these settings after a base update would be a nuisance but doable. However, I am now reluctant to post a script to make changes to FS2020 base or 3rd party files without receiving clarification that doing so would not violate any copyright or terms of use.
That’s good to hear, but wasn’t the impression I got from what was said
That’s what beta testing/testers could help with
True, and we really appreciate the time and effort involved. I just don’t want to lose anything.
Losing landing aircraft with SU11 is bad enough. I love FSLTL though, it’s a top notch add on, but chipping bits away doen’t help with that status. Much like the FS 40th Aniversary edition, it giveth (new stuff), and taketh (AI simconnect traffic), which only takes the sheen off it a bit.
Useful to know that it’s 31 right now, but it is being expanded I think. They mentioned that to add it back it would be a flightsim.to type mod thing so I think they were/are expecting someone to mod them back in.
It’s probably grinding their phone to a halt
Thank you for that, it’s good to know FSLTL may allow us to share easy ways to change these settings in the future if desired.
I’d certainly check with them but the impression I got was they were happy for someone to mod functionality back in (if it ends up being removed).
thanks for replying. The issue has not been decided yet and it’s still being discussed as of today.
Unfortunately the release date hasn’t been published yet but I wouldn’t expect it before Feb 2023.
Just a thought, I’m sitting at KSAN and using real time online, quite a few landings and take offs, most aircraft are AIG liveries, but there are a few, not many generic aircraft although callsigns are eg southwest
Is it possible to delete the generic planes ie: with default liveries at all , sorry if I’m a bit off beam and keep the AIG ones???
This picture shows only two Asobo generic aircraft, all the others are AIG models, is it possible or am I talking nonsense?
Edit: forget that, tried moving the generic files into a separate folder, it just wants to download the missing content
Unless you can uninstall in content manager which you cannot do …..oh well never mind
Sigh, this was just an example because I happened to remember to take a screenshot… I’ve said several times before that I get AI traffic on my TCAS in all flight phases, including fully en-route at FL300 or whatever, for AI most definitely not been spawned on or near my departure airport.
Let’s leave it at that, it’s up to you to believe whatever. I just know that for me it’s working as I stated, and don’t really feel a need to further prove it…
If it’s the default sim ai injector then under traffic options there is a “use generic aircraft” setting. Try switching to off/no.
If it’s FSLTL then one if the options is “enable generic” yes/no.
What is ‘generic aircraft’ in terms of live traffic? Is that a bunch of nothing aircraft (no real airline or flight number) which when using live traffic still pops up?
Are you using the FSLTL injector or real time traffic through the sim?
It’s the pointy nosed set of low poly defauts with horrible liveries that ship with the sim.
If you look on LittleNavMap they do have an airline code etc. But the sim isn’t assigning the correct models.
Ok, to help us troubleshoot, and just this once, please can you do exactly the same, but instead of your TCAS display, use the Asobo VFR map?
NB. For me and others here, the en-route AI offline traffic will absolutely *not *appear on the VFR Map (and, in turn, neither on the stock airliners’ TCAS radars).
We’re not making this up.
