First of all, I’ve gotten the controller working, (99.9999% working so far), without spending money, (
), so I decided to treat myself to a copy of MSFS-2024 just to:
- See for myself what’s going on.
- Document my own experiences along with a detailed system and setup description. No disrespect intended, but most of the “It don’t work!!” complaints I’ve seen don’t say anything about the system they’re running it on, or how they have MSFS-2024 configured.[1]
Also, (being a former software quality analyst and card-carrying masochist), I am curious as to exactly what will hapen within a system I can control.
I also feel it’s important to document my experiences scientifically - with all the supporting details - so that my findings are actually relevant and are fully traceable to my specific environment.

- I’ve really wondered about the exact system specification of some of these systems. As a former SQA masochist, it makes me wonder if these people aren’t running 2024 on that “little grey Volkswagen with three flat tires”. Maybe not, but I think an analysis that’s fully traceable, repeatable, and well documented provides more and better information to compare against. (Or write bugs with.)
