Garmin G1000 NXi Issues and Support

Why does g1000nxi load the arrival as if part of the airway?

Can you zoom into the G1000? It’s hard to discern what you’re asking without that context.

As was answered on the Discord, there are no airways in your plan according to the provided screenshots, so perhaps you can give some more information as to what you’re interpreting as an airway on the flight plan page.

Hello all,

after some time I’ve discovered this bug. In case my freq set is ok (113.90 as example) and NAV2 station is near, it doesn’t show ID (not refresh action). ID shows only if I push NAV button (as simple NAV1-NAV2 swap action), then it shows on display, some kind of refresh with knob.
G1000_NAV ind bug

Hi @OMICO4146
I’m having a hard time duplicating this issue. Can you tell me the identifiers of the VOR’s you’re using when you have this error? I’ve tried it with several VOR’s that I know work/identify correctly, and can’t get the same issue to show up.
Thanks

Hi,

any VOR I had previously in flight. What I want to say, it is not everytime discovered, it must be specific situation with pre-selected NAV2 VOR freq is not at range and manipulating with NAV1 freq, then leaving cursor box on NAV2 stb field. Really is hard to explain exactly also to me what steps you need to do but this bug is simply seen to me many times. It is clear vissible when you are at range of NAV2 freq VOR, NAV2 indication on PFD (arrow) point to it but that ID on upper field doesn’t shows. It becomes just right vissible after to do that button NAV click as swap between NAV1/NAV2.

Update.

No problems yesterday

I had to reinstall MSFS after some computer problems. Now I don’t have the GPS track on my Cessna 172.The Garmin does not show the red line for tracking to the next destination. What gives?

Folks will need more details - plane, Garmin Model, maybe share the flight plan and screenshots.

Ah, that’s my problem. I do not get the button to cycle thru the GPS, NAV1 and NAV2 choices

A picture is worth a 1000 words:

I see the Destination Airport, but no initial airport even though I selected departure airport.

The PFD is corrupted. The Airspeed Tape alone is off/misplaced. The EIS should not be duplicated in the PFD if the EIS is already present on the MFD. There’s something very wrong with your installation.

By any chance you’re not running the old NXi Mod in Community Folder are you?

The Origin can be missing if you launched into the cockpit with no previously filed Flight Plan and used Direct To: in the cockpit.

Here, I started Cold & Dark at KBID with no Origin and no Destination, and used the Direct To to fly to Newport State KUUU. However, I do have a Magenta Line leg from current position to Destination.

However, your installation is definitely corrupted. You appear to be flying the Skyhawk G1000 model. So am I - note the missing VSpeeds on your PFD - those can’t disappear, they are default displayed upon Cold & Dark startup and until Takeoff.

And again the Speed Tape. It’s totally misplaced on yours. And there shouldn’t be an EIS display on the PFD.

Ok, so how do I fix?

I dont think so, but i will check. What mod should i be using?

I did file a flight plan before going to the airport. Did that from the world menu. But what i get when i enter the sim is what i displayed.

Do you have Mods in your Community folder? I would try the sim without those first.

You should not be using any Garmin related Mod.

Had to reinstall and that’s when this showed up. I have 2 garmin NXI modes showing up in the list of added mods and I can’t find a way to delete them.

If what you’re seeing is this:

Then those are the expected NXi files you should have. The very small one (26.75 KB) is just used to point some third-party aircraft to the new NXi that’s integrated into the sim as the default system. I’m not sure how many/if any third-party planes don’t use the built-in NXi anymore. I just leave it there because it’s so small.
But as said by others above, you’ve got a conflict with something (plane, livery, non-standard instrument (e.g. garmin 750), etc) that’s probably causing this issue.
Regards
P.S. If you do want to delete the small one, just click on it in content manager and then the option to delete should show up.
