Ground Steering Not Working

I cannot steer on taxi with the 747. I see no nose wheel turning visually and it is next to impossible to taxi. Joystick twist barely has any affect. Anybody figure out how to steer?

It’s a very heavy plane. Slow right down. It also helps to ease into the turn slowly. jamming to 100% steer right away just seems to keep the plane skidding forwards.
If that’s not enough, use some differential breaking (left/right brakes separately) to help with the turns.

This sounds like a sensitivity issue.

If that doesn’t work and but now you CAN see the nosewheel turning then, yup, slow way down.

EDIT - Posted the wrong link… You still would have got there but way too many clicks.

ah yes, misread the part about the nose wheel turn not showing. Must indeed be a sensitivity / calibration setting issue.

There’s nothing to do with be heavy or low weight airplane, they simply destroyed the ground maneuvering. Any airplane don’t turn and the differential brakes are a joke.

Ground steering is horrid. The tiller harldy works at all.
