Guess where?

Yes. Easy one. :slightly_smiling_face:

Let’s cross again the ocean…

Either northern or central Africa?

I think somewhere near nepal in summer?

Yes; it is Africa… more northern than central…

So not Ngorongoro Crater then?

No, further north

K2, Masherbrum, Gasherbrum(s), Broad Peak, The Ogre, Trango Towers… I should fly there. It’d probably be disappointing though? I suspect the in game renderings don’t do them justice?

(In reference to Skardu, Pakistan, not the crater in Africa)

It may depend on the DEM accuracy of the zone… the Cervin for example has been “remastered” and looks quite good. So you have to go and see each of them !

Northern Chad, or Lybia or Sudan? (yes, I’m looking at maps) :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

You’re getting close… Chad.

I’m proposing it’s not in Africa itself, but more on the middle eastern side.

In that case it would be Al-Wahbah Crater, maybe?

And I’m wrong :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have a nice picture of this one, I hesitated but did not choose it as a potential “guess where”… to me it was too difficult to identify. Very small landmark in a big country. If you look for my threads, there is an Arabia Volcanoes flight tour : Saudi Arabia Volcanoes Tour … where you should see the picture.

Yeah interesting. I’ll have to check it out around there.

Aorounga and Gweni-Fada (Koro) craters don’t seem like they’d be too visible in the sim either. I think I’m stumped.

They’re the only two I can see listed for Chad.

I think I have found it but I’ll see if others can guess as I guessed the last one.

There are plenty of in chad !

Fair enough! But I’m meant to be studying!!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

From the beginning I consider any clue is usable (like google Maps… even with it it is not so simple if you don’t know the place…). So feel free to use any possible hint (it is difficult enough like that).
For example, for Melbourne, @Parorng said it was the place he’d moved to… so I went to see his profile and found he was somewhere in Australia… so I checked the main cities of Australia.
For Buenos Aires, I just oriented my Google Map to represent a 130° runway like on the picture and searched for a big city on a coast correctly oriented on my map… took some time because I went from the Great Lakes of Canada to the south America, but there were not so many “correctly oriented” cities…

I think this is in the Tibesti mountains range in Chad.
