I was not aware of this topic, thanks for having made it
I have tons of shots where the line is shown. Ugly indeed
Spoils photos and videos.
I hope this gets solved soon.
With specific weather is simply unbearable.

If you adjust the time by just a few minutes the line disappears. It’s perhaps an unfortunate confluence that the error appears only at times of the day when clouds often look their best.

They removed the + & - in the time bar, so setting the exact time sometines needed is a headache as trying to set the time o’clock with the mouse is a joke

Who asked them to remove this that was really useful?
Can someome explain?

Thanks

Particularly bad at dawn/dusk. Come on Asbobo, surely glitches like this aren’t acceptable.

The problem is still happening, unfortunately (it’s very visible at dawn for me)

In my opinion, altough this is more than an issue for all of you and yes i see this line to, im not convinced that it is msfs related but more to me asfar i’ve seen this, as a divide in screen top and bottom as close to considering this with sharpness setting.

Nvidia specially in the freestyle use, where it is possible to scale the sharpness with the skarpenig setting and the detail settings.
Here it is possible to defne, and also on how much % on the screen this takes place.

So to me it could be a concearn of the videodrivers as well, and i wont put the blame completly on Asobo in this stage.

Asobo have confirmed it’s in the code, nothing to do with drivers.

I believe they also intimated that this would be non-trivial to unpick.

It’s a line that is consistently perfectly in line with the horizon. Seen best at sunrise and sunset in mountains. Its been there since alpha its likely here to stay for a very long time unfortunately.

Another bug since beta. Is this really getting fixed with DX12 or is it permanent?

1000 more post, won’t fix it faster. This was already addressed and explained, this simple line, require major code change on the base pipeline that will affect everything else on shaders, environment etc
it will take time to fix, this one was logged since long time, there is no choice to wait when it will be done.

Boo hoo poor Asobo, its going to be hard to fix. Well if they could stop completely ruining the sim graphics with updates maybe they could spend the time instead getting this sorted. I’m a developer and i don’t get to choose to do the easy things and ignore the hard ones, I just need to get it working. I’m not without empathy, far from it, but come on Asobo!

Doesn’t really bothered me as long as it doesn’t look like this:

Luckily I only saw this once.

shew the horizon line has morphed in the horizon lines. it looks really bad here in the Sierra Nevada sunset

Just to confirm that this bug also exist on Xbox version.
Verified on Xbox Serie X, both at resolution 1080p and 4K, and yes, we have also sometimes the horizon line visible through mountains.

Sorry to hear that.

The problem is as in the title.
There is always a horizontal line above the horizon, regardless of the plane and location. I am flying in VR but the problem is also in 2D view.
Always in similar conditions - flight at dusk against the sun.

Any suggestions how can I get rid of this ???
Has anyone noticed this too ???
