Don’t get me wrong, but I think that you’re expecting too much for Australia and the Australian community seems to be very vocal. It’s a huge landmass, but the population is very small. It’s in essence a small country. For MS that’s a 3rd rate market.
Heck, one city in India or China can have more population than the whole Australian continent. What are they supposed to say. The in game landmark per population rate there is probably 1/1000 that of Australia.
In Poland where I live (almost 2x the population of Australia) we have like 4 custom landmarks and 0 realistically modelled airfields. Nobody complains. We’re used to be ignored due to not being a large country.
Dont worry. Instead of fixing it theyll just let a third party make it for the same price of the sim. Then you’ll be told it wasnt promised and to stop complaining…same thing with Washington DC
I think it’s funny that the much-vaunted AI building generator is really just them scraping free OSM data and slapping a texture on it.
The “much vaunted AI building” routine is not capable to recreate detailed Landmarks like the Eiffel-Tower or the Niagara Falls. Rather its made for the “big picture” mainly of cities all over the world. And this, it does exceptional well. Even google has to place custom made models for its landmarks. So over time, the fs-world will populate itself like every sim in the past has. Either community or payware, you choose.
I think they messed up the advertisement in letting people believe that the WHOLE WORLD looks like the view perfect places they showed in the vids before release. From a marketing standpoint, it is understandable, but this leads to false expectations and a lot of grumpy commends we see.
You would have to wear oxygen masks, as well as Covid masks. Ballarat mite look good but Bendigo is non existent even though Qantas calls in too and from Sydney no Air port to be seen. still love it.
