I logged in 5 min after the game released, then I had to leave the house and I tried logging in but there was a Q and then I left to work and I am still not home. So how is the sim right now

It’s 6am local (GMT/UK) here and I’ve just launched, no queue for me this morning. Lets see if I get past 97% load this time.

Got in for the first time 10 mins ago, 14 hours after launch. Got to do some setup which I was delighted about. Got to Customize Identity and the sim is stuck at this point and has been for 5 minutes. Extremely undelighted.

Happy to report that it looks like the queue has been removed.
Now, just terrible times for language and package activations! Ugh!!!

I’m now so familiar with the intro movie that I never want to see it again. Who thought it was a good idea to play a movie on repeat to start a sim? Will report back on how far I get (currently 11%)

Still stuck at Customize Identity 25 mins later. Edit Gave up and shut it down CTRL alt Del (the only way) F____g useless. Was not expecting yesterday’s debacle but today…Still not working. God!!!
I’m in and past the setup and customizing. It seems to be working now. I hope you all get in soon.
Sim boot time is similar to FS2020. About to try a flight wish me luck. (I’m on PC)

Finally got in again here in Oz 5pm local time, only to find that no activities will actually launch. In free flight I selected numerous locations, only to get stuck after clicking on Fly Now with nothing happening. Same for landing challenges, career, you name it. Had to give up, close the sim and open the bar.

Thought I would have another try. This time I am at 98% Loading unusually long. 20 minutes. I want to stay calm. I managed to stay calm yesterday but today I am struggling. This is appalling! Still at 98%, what chance of this attempt ever getting anywhere near flying the sim? None whatsoever. Gonna give up for real now. Gonna find something useful to do. FFS Devs.

This would have to be the biggest own goal in the history of flight sims. By releasing it as a free for all, with a zillion game pass users also trying to get a foot in the door, it’s a mess.

I hit the server dead end earlier today like everyone else. Came back about midnight EST to try it again and the game launched and did what appeared to be initial setup. However, I haven’t been able to launch a single activity or a free flight. I can select airports and training missions, but all I get is spinner after spinner. This has been a disappointing letdown and has to be the most bungled game launch ever.

Just watched the Asobo video…“the game is so great and successful that no one can use it”…I’ll be waiting a while before I pay good money for this debacle.

So I got my pilot’s license. I am playing all night while I can
in 18 hours or so, I am yet to see the inside of a plane.
I just think to myself, what a wonderful mess.

It looks like we’re not quite there yet, but France is back at work now, so hopefully, there will be more work on the troublesome cache/server infrastructure this morning.

I try early this morning and it took less than 5 minutes to download and finish the install
