DrDave, I feel your pain… With 3 displays.
DrDave9011:
How to have these views in the cockpit camera instead of external view?
I guess you’re wanting to see the cockpit view instead of the rotating external view when adjusting the position etc. of the views. Well, that isn’t implemented as far as I understand.
DrDave9011:
How to stop the views from rotating?
Also, I understand that isn’t implemented.
DrDave9011:
How to get behind the settings screen to view the position of the main screen?
Sorry, but… Yep, not implemented!
There’s probably a wishlist post that we can vote on. here are a few I found.
For those of us with triple monitor setups, or those simply using two monitors to enhance their experience, there have always been a number of things we had hoped Asobo would introduce in 2020. Regrettably, after hearing Martial indicate in one of the Dev streams that they believe its “done” I think we all knew we wouldn’t see future improvement in 2020, and had hoped that 2024 might bring some improvements. Unfortunately, with the 2024 release that hasn’t happened.

Please add the ability to have different camera views in different spawned “multiple windows” as provided by General Options>Experimental – e.g. Cockpit/External/Drone cameras. Each view should support the full functionality of that camera view (zoom, pan, follow, etc.). This could be achieved programmatically by changing the camera view in the active window (the Windows OS can provide the active window ID). So you would select the window you want to change, and then do normal camera view sele…
I have 4 monitors. The UI to add more windows and position them correctly is un-usable, because 1) it takes up the entire main screen, so you can’t see the reference to adjust the other windows, and 2) it exits the flight and goes to a circling overview of your plane and the surrounding area, giving you a moving view. Combined, you’re giving us a moving target with no reference marks. Un-usable.
Please go back to something like the 2020 UI, where you can add windows while sitting in the cockpit…
As there are more and more widescreen and curved monitors out there in 2020 it really is time to support them by implementing settings for the type of view projection and the FOV. Especially on curved screens the rectilinear or central projection does not look good at all which is annoying and eliminates so much of the immersion that you could’ve got with such a good looking simulator.
I’m tired of the image getting stretched the further you look away from the center of the screen which basical…
