How to set up sim time to match real flights schedules?

It’s Monday, April 14, 2025, at 18:00 local time where I live. I plan to fly from SKBO (Bogotá) to LEMD (Madrid) based on the real-world scheduled times: departing SKBO at 17:30 local time (22:30 UTC) and arriving at LEMD at 10:00 local time (08:00 UTC). I want to recreate this exact schedule in the simulator. As shown in the screenshot, I’ve set the local time in Bogotá to 17:00 (30 minutes before the 17:30 departure).

Based on this configuration, I have the following questions:

  1. My weather and time are set to “Live,” but it displays “weather of the past 24 hrs” below. Does this mean I’ll receive the current SKBO weather during my flight, or the weather from yesterday?

  2. I flew the Inibuilds A350 with a sim rate of 4x during cruise. However, I landed at night in Madrid, which is not correct. Does the sim time not accelerate when using a sim rate of 4x with the A350?

As per your screenshot, you’ll receive the live-weather from Sunday April 13, 17:00 local time.
(There is a known issue with the time stamp: Weather UI erroneous time stamp error)
