Not a lot of sectors actually use the phrase “eurocontrol” actually now I think about it.
Edit: most Eurocontrol airspace is called “Maastricht” actually:
The Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre provides an air traffic control service in the upper airspace of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and northern Germany. The safety management activities support European ANSPs in their efforts to keep ATM-induced incidents to a minimum, while ensuring that safety enhancements are in line with European regulations.
So, I tried to climb as far as 40K feet, but was still in the same airspace. Tried to cancel IFR and then requesting again in hope that it will change me to Eurocontrol - but no.
I must say editing ATC is quite addictive. I decided to go with editing pronounciation and misspelling in some of the places around Europe as well, mostly in Northern Europe. As AI pronciation there was horrendous at some of the airports.
But I still need some more info on where exactly the stations are called “Control” or “Radar”, as I noticed, mostly it just “Control” but there are few exceptions. By far I also changed “Tampere Control” to “Helsinki Control” and “Bodø control” to “Polaris Control” (as I got it they changed it to “Norway Control” and then to “Polaris Control”).
I have used this scheme found there under the ENR 2.1. But I noticed that it is quite different from the game, f.ex. In game there is only Tampere and Rovaniemi Controls - but there as you can see there’s no sign of both. Also, it leaves me somehwat confused, like when is Helsinki Control becomes Helsinki Radar (I am not very good at calculations…).
I also used this website but it still not always easy to navigate the local websites.
Installer doesn’t work for me and shut down immediately after I launch the bat file (using admin mode, just in case). Steam version, I live in france not in the US (in case it messes something with the localization)
Hey, i tried this cool mod and it works good. One thing I’ve noticed, though: I filed an IFR plan from EDSB to EDDS. When I listened to ATIS it said “transition altitude: not determined”. Is that correct?
Tried your mod, it is nice.
Interesting to hear a more correct phraseology.
Also, as a newcomer in modern civilian airsim trying to learn so much and many things. Your PDF is very welcome!
Hello Nijntje91,
are you sure? I remember without the mod that ATIS in Europe usually announced a transiton altitude, also controllers from ATC. I’ll have to check back for flights on other continents (with and without your mod).
I’m pretty sure transition altitude is not implemented, I added that “transition level - not determined” as text only because there is no ATIS option for that. MSFS uses 18000 ft transition altitude everywhere and thats it.
