As i said in the title it seems that when I go past 960 addons, when I go to the content manager it never loads. I just get a continuous loading circle. I made sure this was the case by swapping mods past 960 to make sure it wasn’t specific mods causing the issue. It didn’t matter which mod was the 961st…
Is this some kind of hard limit I don’t know about??
This is an interesting observation. I don’t have anywhere near enough add ons to try and verify if this is the case.
If no one else from the community responds then it may be worth filing a zendesk support ticket asking for help to see indeed if it is a sim limitation. Some tickets get closed automatically (and possibly internally logged) so it may be best to chose an option that is relevant and may generate a response, such as “I need technical support”.
Use the addon linker and sort the adds into continents or smaller regions. Then just select the ones you use for this day before starting. Also saves a lot of loading time
Lol i hear what you’re saying, but I’m extremely against having to do that. I also think these things should just work. As in, they should be able to handle many addons at this point and if they can’t at least throw up an error saying why. But as we all know, we’re 2 years in and still don’t have error reports .
I mean I have nvme dedicated solely to MSFS, so my load times aren’t really an issue. My issue is not being able to use the content manager after so many addons. I mean I wouldn’t care but I need it to update stuff from the in game marketplace.
I’m not sure what you’re suggesting here. First and foremost, this should just work, so before I start getting comfortable with work arounds, I would hope they address it. But I’m not sure what leaving the marketplace purchases in means… If my content manager doesn’t work I cant update marketplace purchases <<<< this is the problem. Aside from being able to uninstall or install them.
You don’t just have marketplace purchases in the folder, do you? Otherwise, the linker does not intervene in the system. It only puts links from files in other folders into the community folder, nothing more. . The Content Manager recognizes this as an addon. So, it’s also no problem to load one part first, then another to update later.
I don’t believe marketplace purchases have anything to do with this problem. They might be adding to the overall count but i have like 100 marketplace addons at best. The problem is that the sim seems to not be able to handle a certain amount of addons and add a result the I’m game content manager never loads. Like ever, it’s not that it’s taking a long time, it just doesn’t happen.
