It only came with two fans and two sets of clips … I thought it came with two fans and three clips?
No, it’s an NZXT Kraken with fans replaced. 14’s originally
Mine came with 2 fans and 4 clips. 2 fans make a difference if the airflow through the rig is fluent.

Well yes, four clips, 2 sets, my front fan might be hiding in the picture as it’s slightly raised to clear my RAM.

If you have the same Kraken, replace with noctua fans, trust me. not huge, but gain

Higher LOD settings, are they more MainThread limited or rather GPU limited?
Main Thread, but do add to GPU, RAM is key, 32GB for LOD 4.0 smooth, 64GB above. And of course… 12+GB GPU, No LOD 9.0’s on a 3080, Need the VRAM
