I’ve been getting by with my mouse. Right-clicking the throttles when they are at maximum will kick on the afterburners. If they cycle on/off on you, it helps to scroll the mouse wheel at the same time.
I don’t see a way that I can put the throttle back into the cutoff position once it’s taken out (this is using legacy controls). Is there one? (Also applies to the F-111, FWIW…)
Has anyone noticed that the control surfaces animations are backwards?
Edit: Also I might be going insane but this compass also reads 330 when I’m heading 120
You are correct regarding the ailerons and elevators!
They appear reversed. @Al13X7895 - the aileron and elevator animations are reversed, can this be fixed?
@Cyber,
Ensure that you are aligning the HSI properly. This is showing me on runway 19 at an airfield after alignment:
thanks for the help, I must’ve missed that!
@Al13X7895 in addition to the prior observation requesting a fix for the reversed aileron and elevator animations, is it possible for a future update to make the cockpit a bit more teal in color?
When doing research on what the cockpit of the real thing looks like, and seeing screenshots of this cockpit come up side by side in google images results, your cockpit while looking great, looks somewhat too green compared to teal.

Ive used the PD since the marketplace update and I have to say that the devs done an amazing job.
The exterior is beautiful but the physics and cockpit is where this shines for me. The afterburners look great (even including the sparks from the engines at different rpms - great attention to detail) and the sounds are perfect for me. The dials and gauges look fantastic. I recommend a night flight in this machine. Something about moving nearly mach 3 at over 20 kilometres high in near complete darkness is one of the most relaxing things ever.
Its odd how easy it is to start in comparison to the 21. It is also much easier to land than the Fishbed. It definitely feels like the 21s big big brother. I enjoy the familiarity though and certainly feels as, if you could fly the Fishbed, you could definitely fly a 25 eventually.
I often describe the Mig 21 as a rocket with a seat but this Mig 25 feels much more like a low orbit space craft designed in a by gone era. It is a phenomenal aircraft and I love it. Again thank you to the devs. The Foxbat is my favourite aircraft so I had high expectations to be quite honest coming from the 21. Ye have exceeded them so can give no better “well done”. I love it
.
Its also great to see that everyone else seems to be enjoying it too. Being my all time favourite aircraft. It is nice seen others giving it some attention. If I see a spec near 80,000 feet and it is gone in a few seconds. I will atleast know it’s a fellow Foxbat pushing it. Enjoy yer flights ![]()
Hope this helps!

Now I badly need the manual, there are many things that I still would like to know about this great plane.
Wow! That does!
You were quick on the draw with that. Just need the aileron and elevator fix and I’m set (not counting some other nice-to-haves but not requireds)
Nice work, thank you!
Any chance of a possible MiG-31? I would love to have the upgraded version if possible (dunno how much info is publicly available)
Also if you haven’t tried doing a supersonic flyby, I highly recommend, it sound amazing
I asked GKS/Aviasim if they’d be willing to put out a hotfix for the animations that users could install so we aren’t waiting weeks for the marketplace, but we’ll see. I have yet to see an acknolwedgement of the reported issue, but that’s not to say they haven’t seen it or are working on it.
Hoping we’ll see a couple more repaints from end-users (maybe even some fictional ones) considering the only handful of users of the Foxbat.
@anon4683901 - thanks again for the cockpit colors. I’ll try them today.
Completely fanciful since Ukraine gave their MiG-25s back shortly after the dissolution of the USSR and it’s unlikely they would still be in use even if they hadn’t but I have always loved this blue digi-cam paint scheme they had/have on their Su-27s and think it would look great in the Foxbat.
I wonder if they are going to publish the user manual soon, the GKS manuals are usually quite good so having one for the Mig25 might clarify some of the things we still don’t know about the product.
I’m still trying to figure out if the fuel system but it may be bugged.
The Radio altimeter can’t be set and does not trigger any alert as far as I know.
There is no heading mode for the AP, I’m finding this a tad hard to believe. All the soviet planes had either a heading mode or a turn knob for the AP or both.
The little bug with the flap buttons not being animated.
Should be any day now if they are on track with the manual - expecting depth to the fuel concerns and AP use. Agreed that the rad alt may in fact be a bug (the needle movement is accurate and correct, but no warning capability).
Really hoping for some hotfixes instead of the months long update cycle but we’ll see.
I will share the unswer here:
Unfortunately, releasing a hotfix for manual installation is not possible for the version installed through the Marketplace. The issue is that the release version is encrypted, preventing any file modifications or additions. However, we are already working on a patch that will be released on October 10th. It will include bug fixes as well as several additional features.
Thank you for the review.
Regarding the radar altimeter – yes, the function to set and warn of minimum altitude will be available in the next update.
The fuel gauge functions will be described in the manual.
But briefly – the “P” (fuel flow meter) needle is manually set to indicate the total fuel loaded into the aircraft. The “T” (fuel level) needle automatically shows the fuel level in the main fuselage tank. During normal operations, as fuel is consumed from the external and wing tanks, both needles should show the same value.
Also, there is no indicator on the notification panel to signal when the external fuel tank is empty, so the tank’s status must be monitored using the fuel gauge.
Thank you very much for this!
As I messaged separately, we appreciate the very prompt work on updates! Please understand that everyone thinks this is still an excellent product, giving much enjoyment for many of us! We look forward to the updates (and thank you for the insight into the fuel gauge!)
