Time Machine Designs is excited to announce its next historic airfield for MSFS.
This time we are moving north from RAF Kenley 1940 and forward to 1943 to the airfield most strongly associated with the Special Operations Executive’s clandestine flights into Occupied Europe.
RAF Tempsford in Bedfordshire was originally built as a bomber station but by 1943 was the centre of flights flying supply drops to the resistance and secret agents in and out of France.
TMD is modelling Tempsford based on original plans and drawings, first person accounts and the unique footage contained in the “docudrama” “Now It Can Be Told”, shot in 1943 / 1944 and featuring two agents who had worked with the French Resistance.
We hope that it will be the perfect base for your DSD Simluation’s Westland Lysander operations.
In the meantime, some work in progress shots for you.

Awesome news is this going to be available on Xbox.?
That is defintely the plan.
Yey thank you we definitely need more RAF bases. Any chance of doing a Lossiemouth.?
Are these bases going to be available on msfs24.? I’ve noticed the tag is just 2020.
Good spot, thanks. Yes they are - have added the tag.
Awesome can’t wait. Being on Xbox we have no access to .to so theres not many RAF bases available. Redwing did an amazing job with Biggin Hill and Saint Omer. But the demand is there so hats off to you guys
That’s an interesting one. My aim is to pick airfields with associations to aircraft available in the sim for a fully immersive experience.
Lossiemouth would provide a connection to the Lancaster that I hadn’t thought of so will add it to the roadmap.
Immediate design update.
Placing the Gibraltar Farm photo next to the model has made me realise that the Nissen Huts are in the wrong place.

Yea It would be so good to have a base up north east Scotland. So we can fly the full length of the UK between RAF bases. Thanks so much I hope gets approved.
Well, I guess since I make the calls, consider it approved!
