Inibuilds announces the A310 - What a day to be alive

If I had to guess, it would be a 757/767. They had said it is something completely new, and would surprise many. Well, most, I think, are expecting another Airbus of some sort. However, that wouldn’t really be quite the surprise. They obviously chose the A300/A310 because they loved the 1980s mix of steam/glass avionics. Therefore, I would guess the secret project is the 757/767. Same time period. Same mix of old/new. Finally, nobody has brought a study-level 757/767 out since LevelDSim back for FS2004.

Hmm…secret project. That could be anything from a flying outhouse to the A380 and everything in between. Guess we’ll find out when they reveal it.

The x-plane version comes with Cargo, Pax and they added the MRT for free to the A310, I have the A300 too. The X-plane versions are second to none when it comes to system etc. I cant wait to see the A310 in MSFS from iniBuilds, they are a top tier dev.

A little taste from X-plane, as I said I can only imagine how much better they will look in MSFS

I would be through the moon if it was either a 757 or 767.

They are very expensive though. You will be looking at around a 100€ probably over 100US$

I personally didn’t get the XPlane version (since I have set myself a moratorium on buying XPlane addons) I can however say that from watching videos of the A310 on X-Plane this is absolutely high end stuff. It looks and sounds like the real thing and pilots are quite exstatic. It did get some criticism for fps, and the price is very high, but everything else received nothing but praise.

X-Plane and MSFS are tricky to compare graphically and there are also areas where XPlane is better, especially when it comes to cockpit. The cockpits are sharper and if it wasnt for the stupid lighting bug in XPlane (when the cockpit gets dark half the time), it could compete with MSFS in that respect.

It will be interesting to see identical planes in both sims, the JF Arrow looks better in MSFS, but I would not expect the A310 cockpit to look automatically better in MSFS. It has much better lighting and much better external (terrain) graphics but sharpness suffers. I am really excited to see it tbh because many other planes have disappointed me (the DC-6 cockpit for example is way too blurry and dull)

yes I agree, but measure for measure MSFS has it on graphics, always has, and I dare say always will. I hope the systems are same, however. It is a pretty complex add-on…Has tons of failures, and all the systems are modelled correctly, CDCPL on the A310 as well, although the fenix has this too…so lets see.

I’m not familiar with Inibuilds. Where do they sit in the pantheon of 3PD’s?

they are up there with PMDG imo. Basically the PMDG of (larger and older) Busses.

Yes 100% they are great Devs, up there not only with but along side PMDG etc. Great support, updates are quick. They added the MRT A310 for free, which is not just a different model, but they also added the fueling station as well in the plane.

That‘s not the Same.
P3D can not be promoted, as is it actually for training purposes.
So I assume for LM, it does not have priority to compete with MSFS as a gaming platform.
Different with XPlane.
Call it simulator, but at the end of the day, it’s a game. And sales count.

I don’t know anything about the plane or much about the group. Though from what I heard the do really good classic airbus planes like the A300. Is this group like PMDG for old airbus planes?

Captain Sim had a very decent near study-level 757 and 767 for P3D - I have both of them and they are quite good. That was obviously developed back when they were TRYING (i.e. before MSFS 777 circus)

Yea, the good old days
Would absolutely love a good 757/767

I would love it too… but I have this dreaded feeling Captain Sim is gonna take their model and stick some default 747 avionics into it and launch it as 757 or 767, in which case I am not touching it with a ten foot pole. I’d rather fly their REAL 757/767 in P3D until someone comes along with an actual 757/767 in MSFS.

No one would be surprised if anyone announces 757 or 767. It’s more just a question of when. But i’d much rather prefer 727.
Anyhow i personally just want a prop airliner now.

What a nice surprise!! It looks like it is pretty advanced in development as well! Thank you for the news

The 727 (as well as DC-10, 747CL, DC-8) is probably my most wanted aircraft, tbh.

I would love a classic jetliner like the DC-8. I think it is more likely they will do something a little more modern though.

Well, don’t be too hyped about showing external of aircraft.
I think it is not big deal to insert 3D model, they already have, because they made A310 for XP. Once 3D model is made in some 3D software, like 3ds, AutoCAD or any other, you can use it for any game. Bigger part is to make systems working, because not all sims have the same backend part of software which addon is rallying on. If you can understand me.
