cowl flaps works, as i get it don’t works mapping for move the lever:) nav light viz but only night:) this bug probably most common in this game/simulator. almost every single ac hasn’t visible strob/nav from cockpit. interesting of that. if lights under wings you can see light dispersion from asphalt lol… altimeter funny too. i thought it 30k and in same time in mind… why it’s looks so low hehehe… btw. p-40f doesn’t have 10k increment arrow. is it ok?

I dig the ground handling actually. Watching Dave Hadfield and Kermit Weeks in videos flying the Warhawk, tracking straight as an arrow down the strip, narrating their procedures, and expressing how much of a joy the plane is, that’s the feeling I’m after on a lot of these flights. If I’m in the mood to wrestle a firehose, I’ll jump in the Big Radials.

It’s got to be an art trying to get the right balance of realism and user experience. In addition to not being able to physically feel things like side load, I’m sure the controllers and limitations with the base sim ground handling and transition to flight need to be considered when designing these add-on aircraft for usability.

It’s interesting flying the BR and ini back to back. The biggest difference I’ve found is in the approach. The BR comes down like the Space Shuttle. With flaps I’m at 30" MAP and dragging it in. A side effect of the devs trying to give it a much heavier, and less twitchy feel I’m guessing. The ini instead balloons at full flaps and a little extra speed.

I love how the tail comes up on its own during take off roll. Rotation is nice and smooth. And likewise the flare is also smooth, making for nice wheel landings. So often I’ve found the sim tail draggers just bounce, so you need to three point them instead.

I’m not sure if this has already been covered but when I close the canopy the scenery looks soft and less sharp and lower res through the sliding canopy glass than when it’s left open. I’m guessing this is tied in to the heat blur effects maybe? Hopefully it gets sorted in a future patch as I can’t see runways or scenery clearly with it closed. Anyone else notice this issue?

Yes, your observation is the same as mine. I have reported this issue in the support forum.

A nice addition would be the ability to slide the camera a little outside the cockpit with the canopy down for better visibility. Maybe it’s asking to much but, while I love the EFB with simple gps functionality, a little more map detail regarding cities, towns and the like would be awesome. Lastly I agree with others mentioning the lack of engine sound range, could use a little more depth. Regardless it’s a really immersive and fun plane to fly.

Altimeter is maxed at 20,000ft, actually indicates this on the gauge face itself.

Thanks for the other notes.

No worries at all

I can confirm I can no longer work the radiator flaps using mapped keys, and stalls do seems to be missing with this latest build. Also the left and right quick views seem to look out the left side only and from two different angles.

The mapping for the cowl flaps is back in with the latest build.
The camera views in the cockpit were changed in sequence from back left all the way around to back right but we just noticed this doesn’t work with the hat switch.

Thanks for fixing it! I updated last night and had a blast with it! Quickly becoming one of my favorite warbirds in the sim.

You really did a great job. I enjoy it more and more. Now it sounds and flies as good as it looks. I hope you guys will do more Warbirds or other vintage airplanes in the future!

+1 on more warbirds. But please not a Spitfire or Mustang or Corsair or P-38 or Hellcat. So many warbirds not represented at all in MSFS: Dauntless, Helldiver, Avenger, Hellcat, Tigercat, Panther, F11F Tiger, Cutlass, Sabre, Hurricane, Lysander, Kingfisher, Duck, Tempest, Shooting Star, C-46 Commando… The list goes on and on!

On the one you’ve released though, I appreciate the frequent updates to tweak things! Wasn’t excited about having yet another app, but the iniManager is quick and works great. It would be nice to have a more prominent indicator of updates available, and maybe an option for a Windows notification?

Screenshot tax!

A P-39 OR a P-63 would be more than welcome in my stable!

Which one should I get? Ini or BR? I like good system depth and good sound, I don’t need the optics. And I want to use as many of my hardware switches, axes and potis as possible.

Using the latest version I noticed a few things. First, the fuel tank selector moves to Front when I hit the starter switch, and the motor will continue to run with the selector set to Fuselage tank even if it’s empty.
