I own them both, and they’re really both great. As far as systems depth, they’re WW2 fighters, which were designed to be flown, not managed. The BR has older systems (earlier model) so there’s some management around the landing gear cycle, etc. if you turn on full realism that’s not needed on the newer P-40 Inibuilds simulated.
BR has slightly more complex management due to the above, but Inibuilds has a ton of beautiful repaints (mostly from @pby5a, but a few others as well). Really, you can’t go wrong with either.
With the new Asobo fuel system, there is fuel in the lines.
I did some timing this weekend and depending on what settings you are running your engine it can range from 2 minutes (idle throttle) to almost instant engine cut off (full throttle).
With the fuel tank moving to the front, is this from cold and dark, already selected a fuel tank or in the off position?
Thanks for the info about the fuel in the lines. I admit I didn’t try it for long enough to test that. As for the selector, it was cold and dark start and it’s when I set the selector to the rear tank to start.
Grabbed it. Pretty cool plane! Though I think FlyingIron still do better recreations of Warbirds. I think iniBuilds need to improve their sound recording and mastering most of all. The P40 sounds a little flat to me. Doesn’t have the depth of the FlyingIron birds.
@EllsGaming
Just seen this in the aircraft.cfg: Title="P-40F Free French GC II/5 13 'MADKOT'"
This is not good!
Please do not use characters in the title which are not allowed in filenames!
Some software stores the ac-title as filename for the configuration file and are then not able to autoload the correct config.
