Of course it exists LOL Why would I use an archive method that is not available to the platform the game uses?

7zip on Windows had its 20th anniversary recently …

Yes, you can manage (move) pontoons in air only.

It seems to be balanced good enough for being in the water without them but maybe it all depends on if its calm or theres waves. But i try it out later today, thanks.

I’m sure it does, but I don’t have it installed and didn’t feel like tracking it down. I’ve used 7zip for decades on Linux and know how to install and use it in several seconds.

Anyone knows how to start hydraulics, after water landing didn’t manage to retrack pontoons and didn’t manage to deploy landing gear?

I only managed to do a short flight so far but even in it’s early state it’s loads of fun. One thing I have noticed is that I have to give the engines a little power on the ground else they die. I know engines from this era need a little power at idle to avoid fouling the plugs, so was this behavior intentional or is it just the result of the plane still being in development? The first couple times they died I was able to start them right back up, but at one point they died and I was only able to get #2 fired up again, and #1 wouldn’t even spin with the starter engaged.

This aircraft is already a lot of fun. I especially like how maintaining coordinated flight through turns clearly requires significant rudder input, unlike the default sim aircraft. Thank you for the Christmas gift! I’m looking forward to the updates next year.

I’m soo happy to see The! Goose on FS2020 <3 thanks for sharing that great work, i’ll try it tonight, and will follow the update
I’m hope FS2020 will take the same path for consumer / Dev fair trade rules as DCS world, I glad i’ll be able to buy your goose in game.

Starter only seems to click with the mouse wheel, it also requires you to hold the wheel in position as it is cranking.

Thanks for this Christmas Goose, she’s a beaut! I just had a brief airport to water to airport flight and enjoyed it very much. One quick question, I could not control the direction on the water. I looked for, and could not find a water rudder, is there such a thing on this ac? And if so, where can it be found?

Yea, a new bug introduced with the “snow update”

Rumor around the campfire is there’s indeed no water rudder, the way this baby was steered was through differential thrust. So you need to throttle one engine farther up than the other to turn on the water!

Like the Twotter.

Another reason I should have got something other than a HOTAS w single throttle.

Thanks!

I gotta say… typing 7zip into Google is extremely fast, the download is extremely fast, and it’s a lot easier than booting up WSL.

Some Gooses (Geese?) did have water rudders, behind the tail wheel and they could retract kind of like window blinds. Maybe it was just later models, but I thought all of the retractable float versions did.
