Seems like its amazing performance increase in MSFS with 4090
Double FPS of 3090 TI even without DLSS.
In this test with all settings maxed 4K 3090TI delivered 33 fps with DLSS 2 and 4090 128 fps with DLSS 3.0
The DLSS 2 didnt help much at 3090TI so somethinh weird, but maybe thats because it was overloaded by maximum settings.
Most reviewers from youtube shows that on 4k without DLSS you gain max 50% more frames. So nowhere near double.
Might be they are not actually testing maximum settings? Some reviews are refering to “Ultra settings”, which is not the same as max necessarily.
And some reviews might get less as they are CPU bound.

On 4K, definitely not worth 1500+ just for a gain of 20 fps in MSFS. There’s a reason big youtubers like Gamers Nexus and Jay are not showing MSFS benchmarks. Hardly any difference.
I think you will get same performance boost by just updating CPU and will probably spend less than half of what 4090 costs.
This definitely confirms it for me. I’ll be upgrading my CPU to 13900K instead of 4090.
Well why on earth play without dlss 3.0? With 3.0 you will gain a lot more, and that will never come to 3000 series. So plenty of reason to upgrade.
But I agree if you are going for either a new CPU is not a bad choice. Personally Im going for the 7800X3d and 4090. However in meanwhile, Im bound on a old CPU which therefore dlss 3.0 will help a lot making the game not CPU bound.
Because of VR, no support for DLSS3 for VR for now, hard to say if ever. It might be as with DLSS2, which hardly gives anything for VR, or DLSS3 might not even work.

FS runs fine on Ultra with my 3080 Ti, so no 4090 for me. I most likely will skip this upgrade.
Update: After watching the review, it’s clear that I don’t need the 4000 series. I only run at 1440, so until I upgrade to a 4K monitors, an upgrade would be useless since at 4K is where the card really does it magic.
Not quite. What happens is the ‘new’ inserted frame doesnt take any added CPU effort as everything is done on the GPU.
First- They have benchmarked MSFS before with other products. And Jay himself has a video on how to get best MSFS settings. So why not use it for this new GPU? But that’s just my opinion.
Second- This is a public forum and last time I checked, people are allowed to express opinions on certain things. So no, I’m not trying to get any attention. But it seems I got yours.

True that. But its hard to say in these test how much is CPU bound, in general 4090 have proven 50% increase in performance over 3090 TI in all games without dlss in some tests.
Therefore, when new CPU like 7800x3d comes it might unleash big increases together with 4090 in msfs.
First - Because they are doing separate DLSS 3 videos as there is a lot more to test than framerates. There will be image testing and latency testing. The videos I have watched up to now have clearly stated this. Not watched Jays video yet.
Second - people tend to give opinions based on things like evidence. You appear to be unique in believing opinions are just stuff you make up - unburdened by things like evidence or facts.
