Is RTX 4090 The Real Deal?

What cpu did you update to?

5800x3d.
pass from 45-50 fps to 82-90 with same GPU 3090ti

Interesting that there’s so little improvement in the 1% low times! This likely indicates some CPU-limiting on the low side. No idea what CPU is used for the benchmark of course.

Wow. That’s huge. Is that with PMDG or Fenix A320? How much you getting inside cockpit with all systems on?

How are these benchmarks legit? I thought MSFS doesn’t have DLSS 3 yet so how are these reviewer showing DLSS 3 benchmarks.

Unless I’m missing something.

Yeah, I don’t get it. How is DLSS3 implemented?

Yes, but MSFS has to implement DLSS 3. And right now, we only have DLSS 2 which was released with SU10. If I’m not mistaken, Asobo stated DLSS 3 would release with SU11

NVIDIA says here NVIDIA DLSS 3 Games Start Shipping This Week, More Coming This Month | GeForce News | NVIDIA DLSS 3.0 is coming October 17th. The results misunderstood. Sorry for the mistake.

graphic in HIGH END (ultra / high)
and all the instrument pop up (fsp killer)
+Traffic

I think to have reach the target

From what CPU did you upgrade?

Ryzen 9 7950x

I am currently on a 2060super and will buy the 4080 after launch. Will have to definitely throw out my current PSU. As for the 4090 Nvidia can keep it.

from 3950x 16 core @4.3 to 5800x3d

here u can see the screen after and before the change

5 in parking but not sure 100% i’m at office now

So yeah…people can do what they want. I’m getting one.

speechless… OMG

It has 60% more cores running (in theory) at 40% higher clocks. If you aren’t getting 80% more base performance in conditions where you can actually full all the cores, they’ve majorly f’ed up the architecture.

Given its just a die shrink of Ampere, that seems unlikely.

Now, 1080p and even 4k, I can see just not having enough pixels to fill the pipeline, but at 12Mpixels+, I’ve got enough to fill that pipe.

That’s why I am currently GPU bound, not CPU bound. And why you really need to consider what your objective configuration is before choosing a card. What is over kill for 4K is not the solution of high resolution VR, which is also not even remotely the right solution for 1440p.
