Is there a way to turn off the instrument panel?

Is there a way to turn off the instrument panel? It seems like a no brainer especially for people with complete cockpits. If not why not?

I think the option is called “Home Cockpit” or something like that? It’s in one of the settings menus, but I don’t recall off the top of my head where.

No there is not. “Home cockpit” mode is not at all what it at first seems. You’d have to ask Microsoft why. The complication of this request are the use of popouts for a home cockpit. Without an instrument panel there would be no instruments and therefore nothing to popout. There would need to be an alternative means to do that to make removing the whole panel viable.

Best solution I have found for this is using chaseplane and position the camera just above the glareshield

Yeah I do pretty much the same but don’t use chase plane or any other third party app to move the camera position. It can be done within the sim itself.

A simple search with the words ‘hide cockpit’ shows this wishlist item
