I’m not seeing Updated ‘Optimised Cockpit Textures’ texture sets on the support page yet. Unless the ones they have there from last April have actually been updated?

Livery pack coming later today apparently.

Those are now live.

The livery pack has now been released. It includes 14 new liveries, with a lot of interesting paint schemes, for example one in the BA Landor style (BA flying club), one in a military camo style etc.

My only comment is that the exhaust heat is a little overdone maybe. Other than that I’m having a great time.

Yes, it looks like the MSFS 2024 effect system is rendering that quite differently to when it was originally configured for MSFS 2020. We’ll add that to the list for the next PA38 update.

Yes, the update has already been submitted to both the MSFS 2020 and 2024 Marketplaces. Unfortunately it’s difficult to provide accurate timescales for releases at the moment but I’d expect the MSFS 2020 version to be released sometime in the next week and the MSFS 2024 version to be within a couple of weeks.

Will this update be coming out for Marketplace version, and if so any idea when? Thanks

Look up to the post above yours.

Hello,

Thank you very much for these alternative textures.

I found that the alternative propeller texture for VR users (“VR Prop” folder) was not included in the available archives.

It is also not included in the PA-28-161 Warrior II archives.

It looks only available for the PA-28R Arrow III.

It might be a good idea to be able to dynamically switch the propeller between VR and non-VR modes in all your aircraft. For example by clicking on an hidden screw in the RPM gauge. This has been done in other aircraft and that’s really useful (in Flyingfries’ Scrapyard Monster, for example).

Congrats again for this new update of the Tomahawk. Very nice job! :star_struck:

Not being a VR user, what’s the difference for the prop?

The propellers textures are a bit more “transparent,” which in some cases helps reduce visual artifacts (wobbly images) when using Reprojection or Synchronous Spacewarp (SSW) modes in VR.

This depends on the headset and the algorithms they use.

There was (maybe still is) an alternative prop texture for VR mod available at .to last time I checked. I don’t know if it works with this latest version, but it might…it would be worth trying it out.

Yep, a great mod called « VR Friendly Prop Mod MULTI PASS », it still exists with PA28s listed (not PA-38).
Not sure it will fully work in MSFS 2024.
Textures files names may also have been changed.

where can I download this Livery-Pack…

Thank you very much! :ok_hand:

It’s already available on the Just Flight website and has been submitted to the 2020 and 2024 Marketplace, so should appear there within the next couple of weeks.
