Just Flight announces the Avro RJ series for MSFS

you were okay up until step 2 in your process. click the switches to align, and then enter your position in the fms. then wait. once the light above the irs switches start to flash then you can move them to nav. the waiting period gets longer the further away you are from the equator so it could be up to ~15 mins before those lights start flashing

I see! I did not know about the “wait till flashing”! Will try! Thanks mate!

Is this really necessary? I just flip them straight to NAV and the IRS is usually aligned in 10 minutes or so, just like in the Airbus.

based on info from the manual, you can flip the switches straight through to nav but the alignment won’t be as accurate. does this matter in the sim? i don’t know. i think i saw the procedure i outlined above on a video and it’s worked fine for me so that’s the way i do it

Probably me but anyone else struggling with the TOGA click spot.

A/T arm - green light
TRP TOGA set for REDU
Advance the throttle to just over 50% N1
Copilot call of (thrust set) if memory is correct?
Click bottom left screw of Nav box
Nothing happening ie no progressing the throttle

Thank in advance
Jez

It worked like a charm - thanks again!

I doubt it. I did my first flight with the IRS off because I couldn’t find them. It still flew the flight plan just fine, I just couldn’t see it on the screens😅

This is exactly why I adore the 146. In all honesty, I’m not the best person when it comes to understanding how all the automation works — and I like to try and figure stuff out myself rather than watch tutorials — so having a traditional airliner that requires constant nursing is an attractive prospect (although it can get annoying at times).

The 146 has seen two very recent upgrades that have brought it aesthetically more in line with other premium aircraft of 2024, so I wouldn’t expect the ARJ to look significantly better.

I’ll probably get the ARJ but will wait for a sale, I think. They’re too similar to basically buy the same aircraft twice, even with the 146 owners’ discount. Had I not got the 146, I really would be stuck deciding which to get! The 146 does include a freighter variant, though, which makes it that bit more versatile.

Great to see the RJ has made it to the Marketplace , however it is shocking to see the price difference . First the discount for Bae146 owners seems to be 10% only? And the base price is much more expensive that @ JF store (?)

Just want to know if i purchase the RJ now on 2020 will the RJ be available on msfs 2024 on launch ?

The base price should be the same as we have on the JF site in dollars. After that it’s out of our hands, MS form their own pricing for other currencies. It’s that way with all of our products, we have no control there.

As for the discount, that should be 20% discount on the RJ Professional. A way to check is if it offers you the bundle for around $125, so it’s that cost for both aircraft then that’s correct. They maybe advertising a 10% discount for both in the bundle. If so that’s correct as that amounts to around $125 too. Hopefully that’s where the confusion lies there.

This is our statement on that:

So will i be able to fly the RJ on day one of msfs 2024 or do i have to wait for the patch ? It was abit unclear in the forum post

It should be available to you but we can’t vouch for how well it work and how good it will look. We’ve simply not had access to the latest code or had long enough to be able to make changes that are required. We’ll be supporting it though and as soon as we can we’ll carry out the work to bring it up to the required standard. So yes is the answer but there are caveats at this moment in time.

Okay that clears it up  thank you for the info, i will hold off for now and test my other JF aircraft first, if they work fine on 2024 ill be purchasing the RJ

As an owner of the 146, the RJ will cost me £58.74 (if I “Complete my collection”). I can’t figure how I’m saving 20%

What price is the individual (non bundle) version of the RJ showing as in GBP? As posted by my colleague above, we are limited to setting the prices in USD, with the bundle priced to achieve a 20% discount for existing 146 owners at the USD price point.

Our own website is multi currency so you will see differences versus the Marketplace.

Martyn - Just Flight

I already own the 146 and the price for the 146/RJ bundle is showing as $62.49. As FumingColt7479 mentioned, this is only giving a 10% discount from the list $69.99 price for the RJ, not the 20% I was expecting to see.

I was eagerly waiting for the RJ and when it appeared on MP saw that I will have to pay £58 despite my previous MP 146 purchase. I can buy it on the JF website for £5 cheaper and this would be without the 20% discount. This has left a bitter taste in my mouth as I feel like I’m getting wripped off. It puts into question now any future MP purchases.
I bought the 146 when I was using an Xbox.

The non bundled RJ is £65.79.

Seems as though something isn’t quite right.

Many thanks.
