Finally bought JF’s Avro RJ for MSFS2024 (SU2 Beta) while waiting for the Boeings (iFly 737Max8, PMDG 737NG and 777) to finally to arrive in the new sim. Don’t fly the default Boeings.
I will have to say, performance is pretty good. Test flights EDDK - EBBR (both from Aerosoft) and EDDG (MM Simulations) - EBBR. Both flights with FSLTL. Still have to test it in EDDF (Aerosoft), though.
Didn’t expect this aircraft to be this fun. Absolutely having a blast with the Avro RJ. Wanted something different than the Fenix A320 family and the ini A350. Bit of old school, less automations and similar to the Boeings. The A350 is great but a bit of a performance p*g on my system .
The only thing I miss in the RJ is a remote/web FMS for a tablet. Aviaworx really need to make one for the Avro RJ, too
Hello am I right in thinking the RJ Professional is still some way off a 2024 MP release? I bought it on 2020 MP when I had an XBox and now have a PC and so far have not been able to use it.
We’re aiming to submit it for release on 2024 MP this month (PC and Xbox) but unfortunately we’re not sure how long it’ll take MS to process and release it.
We’re wrapping up work on the MSFS 2024 native update for the RJ at the moment, so should be submitting it to the 2024 Marketplace by early next week. It’s hard to know how quickly that’ll result in a release at the moment but hopefully no longer than a couple of weeks.
Very much looking forward to this coming out on the Xbox, just hope it could cope with it until I move over to PC next year, and, hope that Asobo/MS don’t hold it up too much
We’ve wrapped up work on the necessary aircraft upgrades and are just waiting for an update to the GNLU FMS (adding direct SimBrief importing) and the liveries (adding airline customisation to the cabins). Release will hopefully be no later than early July.
Our development team is wrapping up work on the latest RJ Professional update. While the primary focus has been upgrading the aircraft to be fully MSFS 2024-native—in preparation for its release on the MSFS 2024 Marketplace—we’ve also taken the opportunity to introduce several exciting new features for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.
One of the most significant additions is the RJ QT Freighter variant. We know some of you were disappointed by the absence of a freighter version when RJ Professional launched last November. Unlike the 146, a freighter variant of the RJ never entered service—though one was proposed by the manufacturer in 2016. While that design never left the drawing board, we’re thrilled to bring it to MSFS, complete with four liveries: prototype, FedEx, DHL, and TNT. This gives you the chance to operate the RJ on cargo missions around the world.
We’ll share more details on the other new features soon. As always, these updates will be available free of charge to existing owners.
