Just Flight Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II

Thanks, although the price is high, I don’t mind spending that providing the aircraft has been developed to a high standard, and it sounds like it is going by yours and others comments.

Yes. I wish some devs had not embraced cheap, and cheerful, and very happy that JF aren’t one of those.

  1. There is no turbo version of the warrior. So maybe you’re thinking of the Arrows?
  2. That happened a while back if you had an old version of either of the PMS50 GPS’s (GNS530 or GTN750). I don’t think there’s a GTN750 panel for the warrior?
  3. It could also happen I think if you have both the PMS50 GNS530 and the Marketplace WT530 installed. Although the Warrior is now using the native WT530, so maybe now that issue is gone?
  4. If you’re thinking of the Arrow with the PMS GTN750, do you have the WT patch installed, too?

What it boils down too, you gave so little information about what configuration and even plane you are talking about, there’s no way to say what your problem is, or if you’re even in the right thread.

I’m not saying it’s not a real issue, but, I haven’t come across that issue at all in the Warrior using the GNS530 Configuration with the VHF radio. I haven’t used the GNS530 / 430 configuration, so maybe there’s a problem with that config? We need more information about what configuration (and plane even) that you’re taking about.

For super low and slow probably the Wilga but for relaxed low level scenic touring the Warrior II is perfect (if you prefer glass to steam the Sting S4 would be the other scenic touring option).

Any chance we can change the registration numbers on the different liveries?

That appears to be something that Carenado are very good at, instead of having a single livery called “Custom” where you can set your own tail number.

Let’s go even further and ask Just Flight to incorporate the features of the DGS Series aircraft that their Thranda partners have over in XP. The ability to change you livery, customize your livery, customize your registration number, and customize your panel setup and gauge locations can all be handled through a pop out menu at any time. It is truly an amazing feature and it makes those aircraft very special to own.

I am very confident that coding that kind of functionality into MSFS would be a far more complicated affair though.

It is possible to have a varying registration. But you need a separate model and appropriate decals for each Registration location and size. Given the variety of Registration number locations on Pipers, they can’t make everyone happy. That’s why people who create paints of real life aircraft turn off the Registration functionality on those planes that have it.

The JF PA28 latest versions use the stock WT GNS530 and the WTT GTN750 natively. There is no extra package to install.

But some add on aircraft have dynamic registration numbers not tied in on the liveries, im just asking if that is possible

The point is, you only get one size and location for dynamic registrations.
If you want to see a variety of registration locations and/or sizes, you have to do it per model (not per livery).

Yes, you can make different liveries, and even change the color of the registration, but it can’t move around the airplane surfaces or change size.

Oh.. that explains it. Was hoping to replicate my Warrior registration in the sim.
Thanks!

does anyone an easy way to get a 20hp increase?

Does this ever go on sale on the Marketplace? I’m interested to get it but the price point is a little high for me.

I think it has but not sure.

There are also discounts if you buy direct, for owners of the JF Arrows. Though I think you needed to buy those from the JF store itself to qualify for the Warrior discount code. (JF apparently tried to offer this discount code deal to Marketplace users on XBOX etc but the Marketplace cannot handle that sort of thing)

JF do Sales on their own site periodically so if on PC look out for that. If on Xbox not sure about market place.

I’m dealing with this exact same issue. Pretty much resorted to turning off wind in the sim when I fly it. Not only do crosswind takeoffs feel strange but as do crosswind landings. I also have the same stall issues - I tried to practice power-on/power-off stalls but was never able to get the plane to stall or even trigger the stall horn. Definitely weird. Using the latest version available through the MSFS marketplace.

I see that it hasn’t changed since the last time I flew it. JF should fix that, the airplane before SU9 or so was delightful, it was one of my favourite GA planes.

Do you know if the Arrow and turbo Arrow have the same issue?

I have another problem, on the warrior the tablet does no works all the time (black screen).
I’m on Xbox.

Yeah it is a issue, not just with the Arrow, just restart the flight and it should work.
