Hello, first of all….i use RTX 3080 Ti, 64 Gb of RAM and i9-11900K and 850W PSU…the game installed on my 970 Evo Plus ssd,i already update to the latest NVIDIA Driver and also Windows to the latest version…my pc is brand new i just bought it like 2 weeks ago…i run the game on 4K,all settings to Ultra with reso scale 100%…i got 45-60FPS…it’s playable, so with this information i think the crash to desktop isn’t caused by my specs…
altough,i have addons installed,i download all of the addons from flightsim.to website…neither of the addons come from FS STORE…also i play the game with Nvidia Overlay turned on because i use to enhance the looks of the sim…what do u guys think causing the crash to desktop…my RTX my Processor is running on normal temp while gaming… also, there isn’t any popup when the game crashed…here’s the addons.
Remove the Addons from your community folder than restart the sim. If you have no CTD, then it is a third party Addon that is causing it. Now install one Addon at a time, restart the sim to see if that Addon is causing the CTD.
okay…let’s say i have removed all the 3rd party addons…and the problem is solved…is there any way i can safely use the addons again without me CTD? btw the CTD happens every around 20 mins of playing and also afk in the main menu…so i should put one by one addons back and see if in 20 mins the game will crash or no?
is it possible that the CTD comes from my Virtual Memory? the Virtual Memory set to “system managed size” and currently allocated is 9728 MB…should i increase it or leave it as default?
You have 64 gb of Ram , set a smallish page file if you want
But it’s more likely that one of your add ons is causing CTD
A good way to check and maybe easier as you get your mods from flight sim.to is to check if the add on is SU8 compatible, it will show on the download page in green , if it is red then remove it until the developer updates it like someone said earlier
Have you got (HAGS)Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling turned on? as have been having an issue for last 4 GPU drivers causing the sim to crash with this enabled.
This can have unfortunality a lot of reasons, because its the common error.
You should start with stoping all applications which running in parallel, in faq is also a list of know trouble makers ( like capture one , sound drivers, etc. ).
If this not help, try to limit your fps in nividia control panel to a low value ( e.g. 30 ).
Also, often some devices cause issues. In case you have a lot connected, try with disconnect them or use powered hub.
Also not forget to do the usually things , like remove the rolling cache file.
And… in case you set DX12-Beta in sim, use DX11 ( stable ).
