King Air C90 by BT Studio

If Microsoft/Asobo don’t want to curate what products go in the marketplace, I wish they would at least allow written reviews. The star ratings don’t tell you much, and they don’t even show up for me most of the time.

As you said, they have a means for refunding your money. They dont say, “no, you didnt buy the product, you just bought enough credits for us to send you the product”, sux to be you"

Also, amazon has a functional review system in place so customers can make an informed purchase decision, something lacking in ms marketplace

Marketplace is just as untrustworthy garbage as the lowest quality theyre willing to sell.

At least simmarket hosts some reviews-even unflattering ones

they already curate who is allowed on the marketplace, they just don’t care about this

Wow!
Where did this screenshot come from? That is really nice. Is this available to purchase somewhere?

I am referring to image of the King Air that Nerbulus posted 3 hours ago. Not being a Smart ■■■

That is an IRL King Air C90 :joy:
It’s probably available to purchase for around 400,000 dollars from your local neighborhood King Air dealer

I thought it was a rendering too, but I have to admit that I’m impressed with your accurate price point! :joy: For fun, I decided to look up their prices based on current listings and you’re spot on!

That is because I too googled the price and current listings :joy:
Sadly, I do not have the price down to the hundred thousands memorized for a King Air in 2021

“With a Great Flight Simulator, comes great Responsibility”

But maybe, by now the lesson should have been learnt.

If you don’t want to risk blowing your money (and time), on a DUD MS_Store addon,

WAIT.

The sim will be around for many years – you really do not HAVE to be the first one to get a new product, literally “sight unseen”, if you are not prepared for the worse.

Just , “Maybe” have a little patience, and wait to see what the reviews say, before rushing out to swipe that credit card !!

or

Do whatever you want - YOU have the CHOICE, and it’s YOUR CHOICE to make.
But after the number of cases of DUD MS-Store products reported, do not say you were not warned.

Haha I figured as much, but I had planned on coming back with “yeah right, more like a million!” or whatever higher number I expected to see.. But no, I was wrong :joy:

I was gonna say 3 million… then I googled and it was actually the price of a decent suburban house instead of a luxury city penthouse. Still way out of my affordability range, but certainly less

As a renown 3rd party vendor in this industry for 20 years who is being ignored by Microsoft I won’t comment any further on this. However I just wanted to post the link to a new topic which you might find interesting. It was created a few minutes ago about the Market Place:

The difference between this and simmarket is atleast simmarket has user reviews that can be helpful purchasing a product. I also believe that they have some form of refund policy, however I’m not totally sure on that one.

That’s what this and other posts are for. You say to wait for reviews, but where do you think we get reviews? It’s from people who buy it “sight unseen”. This thread has 2 reviews in it, and this discussion is doing its job in making people aware.

I’ve been a lurker on the forums for quite awhile, and this is my first time coming out and commenting. It was genuinely so excited to see a King Air C90 for the sim, and then I looked down under the title and saw BT Studios. They have to fix it at some point, right? Reading this thread, while the kitfox, which I own, is still uterly broken, this is literally non-flyable. I want to say I have a hard time believing Asobo would turn a complete blind eye to this, but I don’t have my hopes up…

I mean… While the Kitfox can technically fly, it’s not what I would call flyable. At least not in any way that resembles what the Kitfox is meant for - bush flying and STOL. With this particular add-on, you CAN fly the Kitfox, but unless you are landing at a major international airport, GOOD LUCK.

I think they used the best Anti-piracy technique! They made it not work from the get go! LOL

I don’t know who this Steven Pearce developer is that is mentioned above… but if you are here reading this, Steven… Shame on you for releasing it in such condition!

I would expect them to at least make it flyable. I know they did at least one update to the Kitfox, which I also own. There’s also a mod for the Kitfox that I use, but I don’t remember what all it does since I never fly it. Even with the update and mod, It’s still not great.

One thing I try to keep in mind is that people don’t usually update their reviews after product updates fix things. I remember when Virtualcol first released their Beech 99. It was a disaster, and I didn’t buy it at first. They did several updates, and I eventually bought it to try, since there wasn’t ever any reviews after those updates, and it had been improved quite a bit. It’s worth it’s $16 price tag now, and I enjoy it well enough. (I’m still avoiding their Embraer 175, and likely will never buy it) I’m hoping for something similar with this, although I feel that $24.99 will still be a bit high, even if they do some necessary updates.

Assuming they do update it, I’ll probably give it a try at that time.

(Sorry for the long reply)

They used the beater car form of theft protection : put something out there so ■■■■■■ no one wants to steal it
