Spent countless hours trying to beat my score, and when I finally get an amazing score… It doesn’t save. It’s the Iceland world update that doesn’t save for me.
Yeah the new score reset bug is also happening to me… but hey, you just do the challenge until you are happy and then never fly them again… these issues are getting out of hand
But this doesn’t fix the leaderboard being wrong, and so nobody knows in what rank they really are.
It’s like doing long jumps without measuring anything…
I also have the same issue, especially in the last landing challenges of World Sim 8 (Girona, Leon, Bilbao, Portimao, Pico) . Neither saves the best score.
Same for me, for all 5 challenges: the last score appears in the leaderboard, not the best. I did a few times 1.6+ million then I try again and if it’s lower, the lower score is my “best” score!!!
Yes that’s how it is. Too many updates cause countless problems. I’m afraid this is going to be a very long road, until the program is definitely finished. Microsoft has cheated us, we should have paid only part of the program, the rest when it was finished. It would be fair!
Same with me. Just did the Leon Challenge and got over a million, then went back to try it again, and got under a million, and my high score was erased and replaced by the lower “B” score. What a shame, I would have thought that this would have already been corrected by MS/Asobo. Hopefully, with the next SU…
Yep, the new Spanish and Portuguese landing challenges that just came out have the same old bugs than the existing ones : best scores not holding.
Besides, the picture for LEBB Bilbao shows a TBM930, instead of the Airbus A320 :
Confusion with LEGE Girona ?
Not to mention the wrong descriptions in the Navlog of some Spanish bush trips, since this is another topic.
My request to Asobo : please put more resources to fix these ongoing bugs, or else slow down the production of novelties to steer resources toward solving the bugs.
What’s the point of coming out with more and more world updates when the landing challenges which are a mojor component of the game, are full of bugs ? Do we have to wait until the Moon or Mars updates because the Earth is already full of updates, to get attention on these bugs ?
I had this problem 100% of the time for the past month or two. Then, after fully updating sim/world update VIII, it worked. For one amazing and glorious day.
I am having this issue as well with some challenges. It was working previously but now new scores will not replace old ones, even after checking again later. Below you can see that I received an A in the Arlanda challenge in the famous category but it didn’t update.
Can anyone confirm for me if the problem of the challenges not updating the new best score is fixed.
For me, it appears to be. I’ve done a couple of trials, and it seems to be updating correctly now after SU9.
Can anyone confirm this please. Thanks.
@PlaneTadpole766 That is great news if the issue you were experiencing is now fixed.
I can’t confirm that it isn’t working. I have always had a high score update without issue.
However, as a follow up to my previous post concerning incorrect grades attributed to landing challenge scores, for me this has not been fixed (as yet).
I still have an incorrect Grade.
I have just tried this landing challenge again (SU9) and got a solid A grade score of just over 1.2 million. It didn’t affect or update the grade.
My experience is still that in order to re-achieve the “A” grade for this landning challenge, I currently have to achieve a score greater than my existing high score of just over 1.7 million
I’m sorry that the scoring is still not working for you. I tried a couple more challenges and, for now, it still seems like it is working well for me. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
As an update to my post yesterday… I tried MSFS landing challenges again with an empty community folder and even though I failed to beat my previous high score I still achieved a score over 1 million, the threshold for an A grade. The previous B grade was then updated to the A grade, while still keeping my original best high score. So something has definitely improved:
