Here’s an email exchange I had with Aerosoft on SEPTEMBER 22nd. Stating that they would ship in time for us to have the key on the 19th:

Subject: Concern Re: Game Code being shipped with the MSFS 2024 Ltd Collector’s Edition
Hello, I’m concerned about the timing for the arrival of the Game Code (Premium Edition) being shipped with the MSFS 2024 Aviator Limited Collector’s Edition package. Hoping that the shipping time, to include possible delays, has been calculated so that the Game Code will definitely arive comfortably before November 19th launch day. For “Super Fans” that purchased this package, it’s crucial that we have the Game Code in-hand prior to launch (hopefully a week before launch given how important it is). Also, if there is a shipping/delivery delay, does Aerosoft have a contingency plan in place? Even a day or two delay will be unacceptable with such an anticipated product launch. Thank you in advance for your response.
AEROSOFT REPLY:
Good day,
Thank you for your pre-order and contacting Aerosoft!
Of course we plan to ship all units before the release, so the box is with the customer on or before the release.
However, it is always difficult to guarantee this, as many factors are simply beyond our control.
But don´t worry, we´ll keep you updated!
Ok so my unit of the LCE shipped yesterday 11/19 showing Salt Lake City, but looks like it originated somewhere in China a bit ago as there is a customs clearance attached to it. Estimated delivery 11/23 Saturday by end of day. My guess is something got caught up in customs and these were shipped in advance. Still not happy about 50 USD for shipping, but now less so knowing the actual shipment and everything originated internationally and was not staged here in the US.
Also the weight is manifested at 12.45kg/~12lb that’s a hefty shipment, and definitely more than I was expecting. So taking that into account I can’t really complain about the cost I guess.
That’s crazy. The proof against what Robin is saying in your email is literally several posts above. And Robin is the one who said it!
@JakesTechDEN thanks for the update. I just received a cryptic email from Aerosoft with no information other than my invoice stating that I’ve already paid, but no tracking number or even statement that it’s already shipped, and, yes, showing country of origin as China, and this cryptic note - “Delivery Note: 1030061667, date: 18.11.2024”.
Funny thing is, I haven’t contacted Aerosoft, so I don’t know what triggered the email. That Delivery Note seems to say I should have received it on Monday? I did respond to info@aerosoft.de with a question about what their email meant.
So, good to know you’ve at least received an approximate delivery date.
I just got a shipping notification email from Aerosoft with a FedEx tracking number. Still too early to see tracking details. Aerosoft One still says “Your order has not been processed yet.”
I got my shipping notification last night, and my order says it’s complete now. I have a USPS tracking number that says it will arrive on Saturday.
I noticed on the invoice that there was customs information for China. It sounds like they were shipped from China to SLC and then being distributed from there.
My purchase isn’t associated with my aerosoft account as apparently I didn’t have one (could have sworn I bought things from them back in the days of FSX but whatever) so email.
I got an invoice by e-mail today but Where does it say on your invoice the shipping date? I tried entering the tracking number only for it not to work.
My update - received an invoice but still no tracking information. In the Aerosoft US shop, the order continues to show as “not yet processed.”
The invoice carries a lower shipping cost than some - $34 in my case. The customs information shows that the package arrived from the People’s Republic of China, and that the delivery date (into the US, I assume) was November 18.
So… the wait goes on.
Maybe by the time the package arrives, they’ll have fixed some of what’s wrong with the sim.
