Live Weather Does Not Match

For me, since SU7… I used to love the overcast from horizon to horizon. Not seen that since SU7.

I would like so much that he returns to the weather before

besides, I would like to know how they manage to have these clouds, this weather, as we can see on the loading of the simulator, it is impossible

Live weather currently 24-48 hours old for me, anyone else?

EDIT: It seems the World Map is showing out of date weather but in sim is correct

same it’s been many days like this now

I think world map never showed once the correct weather since August 2020.

Does anyone know if visibility and aerosol is simulated in liveweather at high altitutes. REX Weather force can do this. Never have seen that by MS liveweather.

Cheers

It is not simulated. I currently use rex weather force and only figured out this can be done recently, but i am trying to see how accurate it can be. I recently did a 2 hour flight and the aerosol did not change during landing until i disabled live weather and started it again and reinjected weather force.

Yep. Thats sad. Upper visibility was well done in FSX and by Active sky. In 2022 after two years it is not possible to inject this? And thats the real sad thing about MSFS. No accurate weatherradar, no accurate weather, no accurate AITraffic, only a few effects, no accurate ATC, no season except winter(also in summer), no gate docking system,..nothing at all. But a bunch of things nobody wants because of money. Only a VFR eycandy game, that was the plan from the beginning.

I use Rex weather force which is far from perfect. A sad story because puplishers like active sky are not able and has no permission to interact with msfs. Everything seems to be a top secret by Asobo. There is a lot of potential in modern simulations and can not be done…

The weather is so important but a mess since msfs exists.
I am afraid of SU 10. Maybe this sim is ready in 5 years…who knows.

Well, the weather is handled on Azure servers. What should they give permission to? I bet it works like this. Meteoblue sends the data to azure servers, Azure servers then changes that data to be able to be rendered in the sim, Azure servers sends those weather squares to our sim.

and thats not include visibilitys at high altitutes or is it not possible at this state to inject this data? Asobo can do unreal gusts but no visibility transitions/conditions at higher altitutes?

Basics things, FSX can do and other simulations. But not Asobo in 2022.

I’m sure they can but they trying to blend in METAR at the moment.

Meteoblue has all kind of data of airquality that reduce visibility but not yet implemented it seems. I thought this were the thing they should improve when i bought this sim.

Yes, but the weather system in FSX also were much more basic with some pictures as clouds.

Besides, where to find high altitude visibility data that is 100% accurate? Who observes that everywhere every single second?

I bet they are afraid of implementing visibility from Meteoblue when many complained about accuracy as soon as the sim got released. Neither METAR or Meteoblue visibility is 100% accurate. If a METAR reports 0, that means the observer can’t see much of the weather right?

The visibility in FSX also were unreal. Everything in simulators is unreal. It tries to simulate the real thing but it will never be real.

Also hope they implement meteoblue visibility soon. But i do not expect it to be 100% accurate.

sure. i know it is more unreal than real. But at the end, unlimited is super unreal. The should do like REX. Upper visibility can be calculated by aerosols, air humidity and temperature. Not 100% accurate but better as it is now. As shown. Meteo B have some data. Tempdiagramms shows nearly perfect how it is in upper air.

At the end. i am talking about visibility at high altitutes. METAR gives you the visibility on ground aso…at the moment. the higher you go, they more unreal is visibility. For now it is a VFR simulation. Going with Rex pushes the immersion. If Rex could do smoother and better transitions between metars without loosing frames, than is far better than liveweather from Asobo.

I tried it 1 time, closed it down instantly. I’m done with local weather observations stretched out to be global.

I regret i bought that addon. I thought METAR weather should be better but i really like to be able to see weather fronts coming closer and closer as IRL. Not possible with METAR. They not mentioning where fronts are located. ONLY BKN for example. And what kind of weather should you have around airports without METAR? Some weatherstations is really spread out.

And thats the big + for asobos weather. But it needs a lot of improvement. After 2 years, i have no hope.

Don’t get me wrong. Since asobe goes with metar, it looks more worse. It looks static to me.

I found the weather have really high potential at release with more added data (visibility or dew point for example) from Meteoblue but after METAR implementation that potential dissapeard for me.

My words. Flying by metar destroys the immersions of msfs. But people wants it. But whats between and above metar? Weather is more thant metarreports.

My thoughts at release of this sim were like this:

When i check a forecast and want to predict whats weather and it says it will be no rain. Then when i’m going outside without umbrella because i predicted it will be no rain. Then it starts raining, i’m dissapointed that the forecast didn’t match but i continue my life anyway. I can complain that forecast didn’t match the real weather but the weather will not listen to my complains.

In the sim it’s opposite. The weather that is happening in the sim do not always match the real weather because it uses the forecast as weather.

We can use the real weather as a forecast to the sim but it will not always match.

i fly motorplanes and paragliding. There is so much more than airportmetar. Hope Asobo is finding a mix between real reports and immersions.

At the end…it is a simulation. If msfs exists for a few month, i would say…ooook, but after two years this is NOTHING!
I am happy i can fly in reallife too.
