Local Legend 20: CAP-4 Paulistinha

It was released for free in MSFS 2024 as an apology for the really bad launch.

yes, I know that, but i think they said it would be free in 2020 also, if you own both 2020 and 2024?

I guess you are referring to this:

Any Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 content you own in MSFS 2024 will now be accessible in MSFS 2020 as well
(Source: Marketplace Update: Back Carryover)

I’m afraid the nit-picky point is “2020 content you own in MSFS 2024”. You own the 2024 CAP-4 in MSFS 2024 but not the 2020 version. So I guess you are out of luck there :person_shrugging:

Ahh, ok that makes sence, my misunderstanding😀

Anyone else noticed the click spot to throw up a phone with map and a few settings?
Not sure how to input the flight plan details atm.
a nice touch though.

That’s new, isn’t it? Have to try it out

I think it’s always been there. Nothing else is updated on the plane. It could do with the backlight improving. In settings Tiedowns seems to act like parking brakes. You can change the language of internal instrument labels.
If you work out how to put a destination in, let us know.
Happy flying

I think that’s close but not quite right as a user can own the 2024 version of Premium Deluxe but the 2020 version of Premium Deluxe will become active in 2020. I believe it’s a more granular issue of the CAP-4 not being in the 2024 Marketplace in any form, which is how the system processes ownership. I own the Aviator Edition so in the 2024 Marketplace it shows me “owning” all the various upgrade products as well, which is why those products would transfer to 2020 if I didn’t already own them. The CAP-4 (and C185F) are not in the 2024 Marketplace at all because they’re effectively part of the base sim now.

I fly the Cap-4 in 2020 and I like it a lot.

Does anybody know how to set the fuel tank selector by hardware switches? Setting the LVars FUEL_Tank_Select and Fuel_Pump is not sufficient.

Still no success in setting the tank switch.

I haven’t taken the time to read everything else in this thread, so please forgive me if I am repeating.

  1. I just love how the engine shut-down sound is accurately synced with the propellor motion.
Far too many developers seem to drop the ball with this seemingly simple little animation detail, even for some of the payware aircraft!

  2. The tail wheel tire friction squeal on touchdown is just way too loud and exaggerated, in my opinion. At times it actually startles me in external view.
