Little flight planning and using the single CDI/NAV to fly in IFR conditions and an ILS approach. My takeoff was probably the worst I’ve had yet, but the navigation and landing was not horrible. It’s is hard not having two CDIs to find intersections!
It is a powerful engine but If you back off the rpm’s and manifold pressure it seems to be accurate. You’d only have it full forward until you clear obstacles.
Even so i think it looks like it does 3000f/m? At WoT.
Cruiseclimb should be 21" and 1800rpm i believe.
Maybe i’ll just get it and do like with the Islander v1, and takeoff with only 25-26" to get a better takeoff.
If this lands better then the Beech it is super tempting. As the Beech feels garbage with the tailwheel physics.
I was thinking the same thing when doing a night flight and had to go of the compass or pop on and off my head lamp. I’d love if they put in a red overhead light.
Hello everyone,
We are releasing an update to the Cessna 195 Businessliner later today. Please see below for the changelog.
- The ammeter now correctly indicates when the alternator is off or when the battery is discharging.
- The battery will no longer slowly drain during flight.
- The default position of the VR camera has been moved slightly back so that use of VR controllers is a little more comfortable.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Cant wait to get home and try it out!
Thank you. Nice to see the team taking care.
Great news!
I confirm the 195 now behaves in regard to its electrical components. With everything switched on the battery is still charging.
Any bush trip included with that one? (they are in the Activities → Custom Content menu)

I would love a Float Plane or Amphibious version of this plane!
That would convince me to purchase it ![]()
Those are seriously dope!!
Oh, that thunder of the engine in the takeoff video!
Swoon!
(I love Maine. My good friend lives in Harpswell.)
Right?!?!!!
I haven’t been able to find a manual in the installation folder under the media tab.
