Location of Splash Screen - Loading Screen - Carousel in MSFS

I wish there was some sort of official article that tells us the locations in all those slides on the splash screen.

Hello,

it’s LPPD - João Paulo II Airport (Portugal)

Some months ago, there was a poll/wishlist with the request for information on each location presented on the splash screen.

Haven’t seen/heard anything about it since.

I believe this is the Wishlist topic you are talking about:

Are these splash screens saved on the computer or downloaded in real time during boot sequence?

Hello. I see from the similar topics that it’s been mentioned before that it would be nice to have locations of the splash screens in the corner so we know where they are.

I was wondering if anyone knew the location of this splash screen specifically. I’d like to fly there :relieved:

Thanks for all your help

I love watching the screenshots as the sim loads but how do I find out where they are so I can fly to them?

Would love to find this one as well.

Ref: The following picture which is the “loading” graphic for the 40th Edition update:

Where IS that place? It almost looks like Truk in the South Pacicfic, but, (as far as I remember), Truk isn’t mountainous - or at least isn’t that mountainous.

Does anyone know where this is?

P.S.
In case anyone’s interested in flying into Truk, (now called Chuuk), it’s airport code is PTKK.

P.P.S.
I cheated. . .
I popped over to PTKK and flew around - that’s not the same place.

P.P.P.S.
There are a lot of interesting “Loading” pictures in MSFS. It’s a pity that there isn’t some kind of blurb about what and where the particular place is, (and why it’s interesting), and what aircraft is being featured there.

Like this one.  This aircraft looks like it came out of Star Wars.
