Logitech Flight Panel and Switch panel not recognized

I cannot get MSFS2024 to recognize my Logitech Multi and Switch panels. I have tried unplugging and repluging but both fail. The screen on the Multi panel will come on for about 2 seconds and then go blank. There is no response to either panel.

Does anybody out there have an idea about how to solve this issue?

Thanks!!

And I thought MSFS2020 was annoying!

Working there now. Thanks for the link.

I have since incorporated a solution developed by someone on the MSFS 2024 discussion board on Steam. I do not want to take MugHug’s work out of context, but search for those posts and you will see that a file called exe.xml created and pasted into the appropriate folder will solve the problem.

The Logitech Multi, Switch, and Radio panels do not use drivers. They use plugins that are, to quote Logitech, “game specific”. There does not appear to be a specific plugin yet for MSFS 2024. I encountered numerous problems and could not get the MSFS 2020 plugin to work in 2024. My understanding of MugHug’s work is that it causes MSFS 2024 to find and use the plugins. I may be wrong on that, but that is what it seems like it is doing.

Whatever it does, it does the job nicely.

For anyone new to Logitech panels, they haven’t worked “out of the box” prior to about 2009ish. Even FSX was not supported. Drivers haven’t been updated & programming software is ancient too, but haven’t looked lately tbh.
Logitech, formally Saitek, formally Mad Catz

Actually, I think Madcatz bought it back once after selling it the first time, could be wrong though, been a long time

HI !
I found a solution here :

I just REMOVED and reinstalled the Logitech control panel software and its working or me now. good luck. I THINK THE CLUE IS TO REMOVE THE PROGRAM.I TRIED REINSTALLING IT BEFORE AND DIDN’T WORK.

Does anyone have an update to what Microsoft or Logitech are doing to make the flight switch panel work with FS2024? The plugin is working for me with the radio panel and the multi panel but nothing with the switch panel.

Hi Folks - After multiple attempts to get my Logitech Switch Panel to work, the solution for me was to start FS2024 and then ‘Run as Administrator’ the shortcut described above . (Shorcut to Logitech EXE) If you just double click the shortcut it never loads , the switch panel never works. As soon as you get to the start screen in FS2024 thats when you can run the shortcut as admin. My system is a non Steam , Windows 11 Pro
 happy to say the lights come on etc. Microsoft needs to fix this issue and make the panels work properly from start up

There is no difference with the Logitech gear from 2020, to 2024.

If you already have it working in 2020, simply open your exe.xml and copy the lines that launch the driver. Then paste them into the 2024 exe.xml

<Launch.Addon>
Logitech Microsoft Flight Simulator Plugin Steam
False
C:\Program Files\Logitech\Microsoft Flight Simulator Plugin\LogiMicrosoftFlightSimulator.exe
-r
</Launch.Addon>

Good to go.

Although my solution to the problem was the same, this steps outlined here are much easier to do. Great work!
