MS store could be a possibility for the issue
Well i bought the game over steam.
But I dont have any issues with other apps.
try the OCCT memory test on your Ram when you have time. It will help in the process of elimination. And corruptions, usually point to something else. Hardware related
Started it right now. Do i do nothing on my pc or can i do some stuff?
you can use your pc, during the memory test, it will become very laggy. this is normal, as itās using up 80% of your memory in the test
Its only using 25% of the memory rn
if you could, stop the test, and set that to 80% and restart. It used to default at 80%
Its set to 80%, weird.
ok, itās ramping up then. I prefer this to memtest, as OCCT is a more aggressive stress test and will pick out errors faster.
If no errors, this is good and bad. Good, you save money on having to get another Ram kit. Bad, that options I have that could possibly get you running, are running thin. Thankfully, this forum is filled with some very smart cookies. Leave a full Windows re-install as a very last resort. It is an option though.
25 minutes in, no errors so far. Would be surprised tho because my ram isnt even a year old. Ive got 64GB RAM DDR4
The only other things I could think of would typically stop the sim from launching at all, rather than an error once it has loaded.
In any case it wouldnāt hurt to run through the CTD troubleshooting pages:
Sadly I already went through all of that but it didnt help.
Fingers crossed for ya. Bad Ram would suck, but it would be an answer.
EDIT: Iām also wondering if a DDU isnāt in order, and a redownload of the latest drivers. There was some windows corruptions. It not in the impossible that a driver corruption is the answer too
You would have to run this from safemode, and also ensure windows doesnt install a driver when you boot back into regular windows, either disconnect your network cable or temp remove your wifi. Install the redownloaded driver once back in windows proper Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.6.8
I mean only mfs isnt working, so i dont know if its because of my ram.
Did you purchase anything recently? What you could do is sort your Official/Onestore folder by date descending, and look for what are the newest folders. Maybe an MP purchase is causing issues?
What you could do is something short of a full install. If you have the disk space, move a folder(s) out of that location. When the sim starts, and is depended on for starting, the sim will prompt to install this, just like it does a sim update.
If you have the time/energy to do it, it wouldnāt hurt to do one of, if not the, largest folder, which I think is called āfs-baseā. Going along the lines of this being an interface issue of some kind, there are some folders that will have āuiā in their name. Moving those out might be worth a shot as well.
I say āmoveā because if the sim doesnāt prompt to re-install them as it should, then you can always move them back again. But only move folders in/out when the sim isnāt running.
Last thing i bought is the sim lol.
darnitall!!! @hobanagerik has some great advice there too, and is pretty darn good at sorting problems
Is it this folder?
