T-38A Talon :thinking:

As the overpriced Aviators-Edition still has no plane with no major bugs I demand the T-38A Talon to be free for all PC & XBox players!

The more money the sim makes the better it is for us all though.

I’m sort of stunned to see they are still selling the Aviator Broken Planes Edition.

I wonder how that will go over with the PS userbase.

It’s a Microsoft product. Asobo is the company hired to develop it. Everything is a Microsoft decision. It’s not like Asobo had a Flight Simulator lying around and MS jumped in to distribute it.

Well, that’s a productive attitude. “You made a thing I like. I hate you.”

There are business realities, software development realities, and a wide user base with different priorities. These all result in an imperfect sim, sure, but it’s still an amazing sim and I’m thankful for Microsoft keeping it going. There have been bad decisions along the way (not just waiting and releasing FS2025, for instance), but still, I’m super-glad the sim is in active development, and success on the PlayStation platform will just make it more important to the money people at MS and help keep development going.

I’ll take the current frustrations over Lockheed trying to prop up the zombie corpse of FSX any day.

Not sure how I feel about this to be honest, I completely agree with @DrVenkman3876 too!

“Success on the Playstation platform” isn’t going to happen for years. They can barely release functioning planes in a 200 dollar release, do you think they’re going to just port over a sim that took YEARS to get properly working on Xbox into a new platform?

Hi @NixonRedgrave,

There will be a dedicated subforum for the upcoming PS5 beta test (just like the current SU4 beta subforum). Otherwise the forum will remain the same except for the addition of a new PS5 tag to go along with the existing pc and xbox tags.

It is going to be interesting to see how all that co-mingling works out.

It was weird enough getting advice from PC users when dealing with an Xbox-specific issue. Now, it will be even more confusing.

Yeah, co-mingling makes absolutely no sense at all with three platforms.

I’d like to believe this, but the same argument was made for Xbox performance more generally, and that did not pan out at all. I am skeptical until we see real-world confirmation that VR works well on PS5 for MSFS 2024.

 I think I paid enough lol for the edition I got as a preorder
 and I didn’t get any special aircraft for that

Will everyone be on the same multiplayer server? I didn’t see that mentioned in the post.

The Boom Supersonic release sounds quite interesting.

Lol like the game will be anything like that trailer, I too remember seeing crops in the trailer for 2024 and rescue missions from sinking ships. Gonna be a lot of crying on here from PS5 owners

I’m glad we’re at least getting the XB-1 without having to pay extra but yeah, I’d really prefer getting the combo tbh (unfortunately most of the make good aircraft are just not things I fly often, but I get it, dlc costs money :upside_down_face:).

I would assume the same servers apply, no reason to separate them

Also, if we got the XB-1
 I’m sure the X-59 teams at Armstrong, Ames, and Lockheed would love to see their bird as well (actually I know so in the case of Ames lol)

I would hope that given it was recorded on the ps5 professional, it might be coming before the end of the year?
