I note that there is no option to download and install the world scenery packages.
Perhaps MS/Asobo should rethink this approach – given all the server limitations – and allow us to do so?
I think that would solve a lot of the problems.

Yesterday, which said it’s all resolved - the note at the top of the forums.
15.8 hours of ‘playtime’ - I was in the air for maybe under an hour, in the middle of the night. 14.8 hours of loading simulator before and after the issue was resolved and they are ‘steadily bringing in more people’. From where I sit - it’s getting more difficult to get in, not easier.
Edit: I lie - it’s just as impossible as it was on launch day. At least for me. YMMW

How can there be any positivity about this - its the worst game launch ever
A day after sitting at 97% for hours and its still slow to load but can now get to the menus - even if they run at 48FPS at 100%
Found the setting to move the cache to the same same drive as the game
But the activities either do nothing when clicked or crash the game with Exception code: 0xc0000409
[EDIT] Tried again and the flight training now says Aircraft is missing so its all greyed out
Career showed as inaccessible then worked the next time
So it’s whole game functions that depend on server access not just asset streaming - maybe a serious mistake
[EDIT] Relaunched game and its even slower this time - stuck at 98% - said it was loading stuff but there was hardly any network activity

I have Alpha XPC and a bravo throttle from honeycomb. Ruders from Virpil. The setup is a nightmare and I will wait till it gets better. Like this, the sim is pointless for me. It is what it is, an I can wait.
Dumped it. I like flying in the technical. This is scenery centric. If you want to visit your childhood home just download Google. Only a few can have the equipment or bandwidth to tolerate this. I find flying challenging to do it correct. I don’t find it challenging to overcome some brilliant software and idea that doesn’t work.

A day has passed, and essentially there have been no improvements at all, and I still can’t get into the game as I’m stuck on character creation. The loading takes an hour. In my opinion, it’s time to file a collective lawsuit. Selling such a product in this condition is outright fraud without the slightest exaggeration.

Endless loading starting a flight. Been like this all day with multiple attempts at different spawn locations.
UK, gigabit ethernet. It looks like people in the UK are being affected more than elsewhere, since a VPN to another country seems to unblock this issue!

I’m stuck at 6% validating packages at 12:48pm EST.
Very early this morning @4:30 AM I was able to actually play the game.
I will wait a day or 2 more to see if it improves.
My oh my MS and Asobo. I never had this type of problem with MSFS2020.
In fact I played MSFS2020 this morning and it worked well.
BTW my Saitek instrument panels, flight panel and radio panel do not work in 2024 BUT work perfectly in 2020.

And it will be expected also later when all msfs customers will want to play …
This has to be anticipated by Asobo and msfs team
Anyway , i am not concerned by this mess because i did not preorder but i am sad for all of you.
Felt so abused with msfs2020 destruction

I cannot afford the spad.next because I’m currently saving up for a house lot so if they say to use that I might have to build a whole new setup that will delay my country cottage plans I have
