This explanation makes sense. The lighting adjustment appears to be 12 hours out of phase.
A consequence of global warming, I suppose.
It doesnât seem to affect your ability to take off.
Iâll bring my life jacket next time, and a paddle!
Im hoping 2024 is on the right?
Thatâs affirmative!
Except they do have some real liveries, but very very few. They put every one in the trailers and then let us believe weâd be seeing this everywhere.
I want to know why I see United liveries taxiing around the airport in the loading movie, but not on the aircraft I can actually fly. Whatâs up with that?
Donât believe me, believe the science, link to MIT studyâŠ

Marketerters make you believe something, you buy into it, put up a frame rate counter and the result is a placebo effect, in which you âbelieveâ thereâs a difference.
Gets you to buy faster and faster processors and keeps you on a hedonistic threadmill of consumption.
But, hey you do you.
The intro trailer states, In-Game Footage, but itâs a lie. Eg, the cockpit view of the Airbus taking off shows the throttles at idle. I know it was put together before MSFS 2024 was finished as a promo, but they are still using the same video in the sim. Youâd think if the sim was capable they really would use in-game footage. That they donât pretty much says it all.
I just flew for 4 hours and the game crashed right as I landed. I wanna scream. ![]()
Thatâs not the point. I fully understand what âin-game footageâ means in the 21st century gaming industry: it means âfootage rendered using the game engineâ whether scripted or played lived is irrelevant. That is not my point.
My point ACTUALLY is, in case anyone else has missed it, that MS has managed to snag licenses for some real world liveries such as the United livery shown in the loading movie, but Asobo has failed - at least as of yet - to make that same livery available to simmmers to use with their own flights.
And this might be part of the agreement with the airline.
They might have agreed to show traffic on actual routes they fly, but they might not want that users use their liveries to do stupid things and then post it on YouTube.
We do not know what the license agreement includes.
Tried a flight yesterday from EGPH to EGHI in
the default A320. Flight planning was a nightmare as the FMS did not seem to want to load the flightplan. Every time I try there always seems to be a Flight Plan line emanating from the departure airport running away on runway heading.
I fought the AP for about 10 minutes trying to get it to fly direect to EGHI and then noticed the closer I got, the FMS was reporting me on a reciprocal heading, getting further away!
As I descended, the aircraft would not slow, despite throttles at idle and switching off ATHR and the AP. I ended up high and too fast and crashed on the M27
Very frustrating.
I know trees are good for the environment, but in FS2024 not so good for flight simming.
Along with 100+ bugs lol
I know some loathe Meigs being included, but itâs one of my favourite airports (favourite starting point since Flight Simulator 4.0 I think it was).
Looking forward to getting this fixed. Itâs been like that since release.
And my just freezes, same outcome.
I wasted so much time on that great simulator
I know, nobody forces you but hey, I bought a game that supposed to work, not freeze.
I love Meigs Field.. it represents something about the history of this Sim, for those who knew it way back when. I hope they fix this error too
