Thank you. I did receive the Email. Amazing update! Just a little question. I’ve already downloaded the Black Bird C310R v1.1.8_221121 $R6VSO5M file on the official forum since I purchased the airplane directly to your store. Do I need to install this update, is there anything new in this one?
Thank you very much. My fav plane!!!
For those of you that already got the email, are you able to install it? I get the following error. Looks like it can’t get it uninstalled. I get the same error when trying to uninstall it with ‘add or remove programs’.
Hit up support please. Page 3 of the manual.
It’s important you read the manual as there’s stuff in there that’s going to be critical if you use the WT mod(s) or the GTN’s.
Yes it installed for me. I think what Krazycolin is referring to is if you have virus detection turn it off while installing.
Also, if you didn’t buy it directly from us, it won’t install.
Mine installed without issues. Haven’t flown it yet though.
hi,
Question to all those that installed the update:
Is there a noticeable improvement in the ‘realism’ of this aircraft? Are there any tradeoffs (is there a reason to keep the original version instead)?
I’ve done a couple of trips with the released SP1 and all good - I don’t think I can any difference in realism - it was good before and still just as good. I made a couple of decent landings in difficult conditions, but that may be either down to the update, or I’m improving (or both).
I’m not using either ATM. I have contacted support via their support forums. Looks like a couple of other users are getting the same error. Let’s see how this goes.
If you mean flight dynamics / flight model I would say NO. It`s as great as it was before the update.
Thanks,
yes im referring to the flight model.
Im a bit hesitant to install an update when I already really like the original. Sometimes an update can break things. But so far I’m hearing good things - other than some experiencing installation issues.
Will probably be installilng SP1 shortly…
There are some minor mods to the way it flies but nothing is broken.
The installation issues are very rare.
The flight model in SP1 is still very good. The loss of lift when closing the throttle and flaring is not as extreme as the original, but it’s definitely still there. Overall, it’s a bit easier to finesse the landing, but it still requires practice to get it right.
Is there a link on the forums anywhere to download the new release?
I did not receive an email, and still haven’t even after emailing support for a link.
Several things to track in that post… first, if you didn’t buy it directly from us, you will not be able to use the updated installer on the support forums. You will have to wait till it’s put out to the marketplace and Orbx.
Next, emails sometimes end up in Junk or spam mail bins so check that.
Finally, to get access to the support forums, please check page 3 of the manual.
Oh… and it’s the weekend… No one but me is working… (and I’m not able to do what you’re asking)
Flew the updated 310 last night. What a beauty!
The only thing I’m still running into is the tendency to wheelbarrow if you’re, like, a knot over rotation or landing speed. I kept a few extra knots on landing because of some gusty winds, and the wings picked up over the nosewheel a bit as I was rolling out, despite crosswind control deflection, etc. I don’t know why the tail would fly down any more or less than the wings would fly up during a gust, given neutral elevator and trim.
I still attribute this to the sim’s weird ground handling characteristics.
Oh, and I love the inclusion of a VOR 2 gauge. Brilliant!
Got it thanks. I did buy directly from you, so I’m sure I can find the link in the forums somewhere. Otherwise I’ll just wait until someone answers my email.
I didn’t receive an email either, nor was it in my spam. However, if you still have your original purchase email with the download link you can get it from there - that’s what I did.
Same for me too on all counts ![]()
