At the risk of derailing the discussion, is there anyone here who can help me?
I tried to fly the Milviz Porter after a long time away and found that during engine start, as the prop starts to gain rpms the rudder and the elevators suddenly become unresponsive. The just don’t move. They work fine when the engine is off but as soon as it begins to spool up they freeze. I follow the checklist but every time as soon as I get to the “Starter” switch I no longer have control of those surfaces. The toe brakes, elevator trim, flaps and ailerons continue to function correctly.
What could be wrong?
I saw someone mention in discord that this is caused by FSRealistic. Do you have FSRealistic installed? If you do, can you check if disabling the Propwash effect fixes the rudder/elevs?
What a quick and precise reply!
That was exactly my problem and the correct solution!
Thank you!
I hope FSRealistic knows about this problem…
Thank you for a correct answer
The Beta will be released on Wednesday. Not before. It will not (yet) have the TDS GTN set installed.
Support forums only.
thanks
Were the interior textures reworked in this future update?
Of course… we had to do the analog version…
Yes of course, but I meant apart from the panel, if the rest of the interior was revamped. The seats, the cargo boxes for example (they’re extremely rudimentary), etc.
I’m both a fan of the plane and of your work, however the interior looks low poly and outdated in several areas whereas the exterior model and textures are spot on.
No, we didn’t. We don’t think it’s bad at all. Sorry you feel that way.
Maybe post some screenshots to make the point. I actually agree with you
Talking of minor gripes: is the flight stick really supposed to move diagonally when moving your controller’s pitch axis only? If not (and I suspect it’s not), could that be fixed?
Pretty sure it doesn’t do that as we’d have had tons of complaints… but I will have the dev check it.
As for screenshots, you won’t have long to wait I’d say.
Please remember, we are raising the price on this as soon as this goes out.
It definitely does so for me, has done since I bought it around last March-April or so (Marketplace version). I mean like this, note how the aileron axis is centered:
Pretty sure it works… try it without axis and oh’s…
No change. To begin with I didn’t even have AAO when I first noticed this months ago (nor my current flight stick for that matter). But this is getting too support-y, if it’s not fixed in next patch I’ll try reinstalling the plane and if the issue persists I’ll contact proper support channel.
They’re not “bad at all”, but still subpar. You don’t need to check other renditions of the Porter in the same simulator, or any work other developers are currently putting out for that matter — you can check your own work and how high you set the bar with the 310 which I proudly bought and am super happy with.
I disagree but, again, you’re entitled to your opinion.
It also needs to be pointed out that the 310 is also more expensive…
Yeah, I always assumed the 310 is the true premium Milviz offering and that not all will be guaranteed to live up to that standard. Flysimware similarly have the gobsmackingly beautiful and functional 414 but have already warned people that most of their other addons won’t stack up against it. Nothing wrong with having varying levels of fidelity in my opinion.
I take it the beta will not be available to those who purchased it through the Marketplace?
You can get to the support forums but you can’t get the beta’s… Sorry…
