Mouse camera view is still broken: weird deadzone, low precision, unremovable acceleration

Mouse look crosstalk - overly sensitive is tagged as “fixed” on the feedback snapshot but the mouse view is still broken. Current SU4 beta problems still exist.

In my case, when using a mouse to look around in cockpit or external view it’s impossible to make small, fine movements. Only bigger moves register in the sim

Description: I move my mouse a little bit with small, fine movement- the camera does not move in the sim at all. When i move the mouse faster- it registers and the camera works. It also seems to have some kind of irremovable acceleration turned on.

Seems like the mouse has a big deadzone or some kind of acceleration. I use it to look around and it makes the sim feel very sluggish.

I’ve tried to play around with mouse/camera sensitivity but it does not fix the issue. Complete reinstall of the system did not help. I’ve also tried different mice. Windows 10 also has that issue.

Wish I could vote for this a 1000 times. It’s been a wreck since day one of FS2020 because on the focus on Xbox interoperability. Doing a flight in X-Plane makes me smile every time just for the usability of it. How can FS2020-24 UI and mouse interaction be considered satisfactory at this day and age is beyond me…

I’ve realized this is a problem a lot of us have - most just don’t notice it. The difference really shows when you compare MSFS 2020 with 2024. A close friend (also a simmer) said he didn’t have the issue, until i visited and tried his rig last week and guess, it was there too..

My guess is that’s why it doesn’t get much attention. I’m honestly confused about how and why a seemingly simple bug could still be around after all this time.

Also worth noting: every time a new beta drops, there are still users comments on Reddit saying it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Tried a fresh, unmodified and fully updated Windows 11 with the sim and necessary drivers only: issue still exists

Tried the same but with the windows 10: still here

Tried 4 kinds of different mice, cable or wireless: still broken

Unplugged all my peripherals: still broken

I don’t believe the issue can be tracked to individual users hardware or system

As the OP mentions & provides links to, this issue pre-dates SU4
