MSFS 2020 Items Slowly Becoming Available in MSFS 2024 Library

Did it take awhile for Premium Deluxe content to start appearing? I redeemed my code this morning and whilst I saw 2020 content, I saw no PD planes.
Currently flying the Fenix in 2020 so cannot check but will do so after I land. Just wondering if anyone else had run into this. Thanks

Yes. It took a while.

Cool, will check once I load back in.

I did take the FSR TL3000 to the Boeing factory in Renton. Much better performance than being installed on 2020.

My brother bought the premium version from steam and he has only 11 planes :frowning:

I am in same boat. I assume we will eventually be able to check the Premium and Delux boxes and get more planes? I have just been flying the safe old 172. Limited livery choices.

After flying for a while, I got a message saying restart the sim to add previously purchased planes from 2020.

So I restarted the sim.

Ok so how do things like Bredok3D KBOS which is completely blank make it through? IMO the default setting should be “not compatible” until such a time as it’s tested and proven to work. This one takes longer to load the sim than to test. It breaks RW15R and all the terminal buildings are completely missing - quite obvious.

Not sure, but Bredok items are extremely low quality so I’d assume it’s easily compatible with 2024 since there isn’t anything special with it that would cause it to clash with the 2024 base sim. Do you have another KBOS that could be clashing with it like FlyTampa’s? Or maybe the auto-reorder isn’t working correctly for that over the default in the sim.

Either way it’s been tested by the team so that’s the only way it’s been allowed to go through and be made available.

I absolutely can prove that is not the case. Ref bug report and screenshots in Cannot unselect “streamed” packages in my library

There are no other 3rd party sceneries installed so that is the only conflict. And the marketplace sceneries breaking new FS2024 sceneries is pretty commonly reported in other threads so no - a lot of marketplace addons have not been tested for compatibility and released.

Thanks for sharing. I’m curious if it’s a server issue or it actually just doesn’t work. That’s been my only real issue with this whole release is that the servers were on overload so it’s hard to tell which issues are caused by that versus actually being broken.

This has been consistent for me ever since I could get in. If you don’t have KBOS installed by Bredok or FlyTampa pop in and see. My guess is that as it’s the same wasteland every time I login it’s not a server scenery stream issue but a scenery overlay breaking the Asobo layer. I even tried demoting it to the bottom of the list in the scenery order panel but that didn’t do anything either.

They really, really, really, really need to turn on the ability to disable packages in my library. The streaming issues aside this is ruining the experience for a lot of people with forced incompatible packages being applied.

I went to KBOS both before and after the FlyTampa add on showed up and had no issues, so I’d assume it’s a Bredok specific issue. I’m on XBox btw so not sure if that changes anything.

The selection of which library items to include is coming with the Marketplace release. Not sure how that wasn’t available at launch but they really should’ve waited until the marketplace was ready to release.

There is more than just 1 incompatible scenery variant out there; World Update UK and ORBX Sumburgh for example. Cliffs on runways;

I wonder if compatible means “it doesn’t crash the sim” versus actually working 100% accurately like it did in 2020. Sounds like the former based off some of the feedback here.

Wouldn’t be out of character

Yeah it’s unfortunately pretty common. Add to my bug report and maybe they’ll at least give it a “feedback logged”. Sometimes it looks like they’re ignoring reported bugs. My Zendesk ticket was closed with the standard cut-n-paste “hey, servers slammed. Maybe we will kick this to dev/qa. Don’t open another ticket” verbiage which is vague as to whether they understood the issue I was trying to report, but here we are.

I think they are on overload trying to just get the server stuff squared away with so things can settle down. I don’t think they should’ve closed the ticket, but at least acknowledge it’ll be awhile before they can review it.

I got a notification on my Xbox this morning that the transfer of my 2020 content was complete and to restart the sim. So I restarted my Xbox and sim and yes, I saw my 2020 planes. It took about 18 hours for that to happen. I have to see if airports are there too.

Update: some airports and scenery packages appear. But not all. So idk what the deal with that is or if it’ll keep updating.

It’ll be tedious to notate all my packages in 2020 and then cross reference into 2024 to have an outstanding list.

Idk why the notification I got said 2020 transfer complete, maybe the action but not the entirety of my stuff

Anyone else?

I have FlyTamps’a KBOS and it also works fine for me.

Ok. I’ll install it - I got mine direct rather than through marketplace. But let’s keep focused on the primary issue here - installing 3rd party content over unwanted forced 3rd party content is just a hack, and only works for those instances where compatible 3rd party software exists. The ability to turn things that break the sim off seems pretty fundamental.
