MSFS 2024 is broken ... Or is it?

Every single one of these threads starts off with those of us describing a positive experience, then it quickly devolves into the rants of those that are having a bad experience.

It seems they can’t reconcile the fact that not everyone is having the same experience that they are. I do feel terrible for anyone having a bad experience, but I’m not going to dwell on it with them.

Sigh. . .

All of this fussing reminds me of an ancient anecdote:

Patient:  Doctor, it hurts when I do this!
Doctor:  Then don’t do that. . .

I don’t mean to minimize other people’s angst, but really now. . . If you’re so upset with MSFS, go do something you enjoy more. Life is too short to spend it doing things you don’t like.

Here’s an interesting observation:

Prior to last November, everyone was whining and complaining about how awful FS-2020 was, all the horrific bugs that “made the game impossible to play”, and how could MSobo release such a steaming pile of GAGH!

Now that 2024 is here, everyone is saying how wonderful 2020 is and what a steaming pile 2024 turned out to be.

. . . it seems that every topic, every thread, every conversation seems to have degenerated into a listing of the same faults, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, and I am about six inches away from just deleting the forum’s app off of my phone and all my browser’s bookmarks to it.

Every time I try to search these forum topics for useful tips, tricks, and information I get twenty thousand returns that are about this or that thing being borked beyond recognition.  Any useful data gets drowned out in all the noise.  Useful and important data, (even data about issues), is overshadowed by the cruft.

I can’t even sit down at my sim rig anymore without all these waves of negativity washing over me to the point where I put down the joystick and shut down the system because the constant complaining has drained every ounce of energy from my body.

It’s not the sim itself, mind you, it’s the waves of negativity from these forums - it just drains any enthusiasm I might have had, leaving me with an empty feeling inside.

I really think it’s long past time for us to just stipulate the fact that it’s a steaming pile and move on.

If you really hate MSFS so much then do something else with your life. Maybe a different flight sim? Maybe something else?
